help! liver enzymes elevated.... :(

properly pumped

Just got word, labs came back. not sure which of the three are elevated, but one is. doc wants me to repeat in two-three wks. they are elevated from extensive alcohol use. (i usually drink just over a quart of captian during my two weekend nights), i know- bad, bad, bad. i haven't been ON in like five or six months and last time they were checked they were within normal range. my problem is that i need to show him that they are back to normal so that i can begin my next cycle. if i start now i know that will make things worse, so i have to get them back to normal before i begin, so that, in turn, i can begin said cycle. i have been drinking mad water and considering milk thistle, (and i am obviously going to stop drinking until after my next round of labs.) any help, feedback, info will be greatly appreciated. you do want me to get bigger, don't you? :)
thanks,
pp

Lots of water bro. Excellent detox. You may also find a Liver Detox program at your local Natural Health Food Store..

If you hit it after the next round of lab tests, won't you be right back to where you are now? Not dissing you bro, just don't want to see anybody mess themselves up. Had a bud that died this spring from drinking...

I would jump on the Milk Thistle deal that realdealnutrition.com has.
Lots of water and no booze, drugs or OTC stuff. Even asprin can raise the Liver enzymes

Definitely milk thistle and ala, and realdealnutrition has great prices on both, especially with hte milk thistle special!

PP,

You should really find out *exactly* what enzyme/test came out high. My bilirubin was through the roof a few weeks ago, and the Doc freaked. I started eating Milk Thistle and ALA like candy, and two weeks later a re-test was perfectly normal.

I Dont know whether the original "high level" was due to cardio and workouts (general destruction of red blood cells), too much of the Captain (also my favorite), Yohimburne, ephedra, who the hell knows.....

bilirubin was fine. the three they tested for(amongst other things) were are ALT, AST (sgot), and i think thats it. moral of the story, no captain, beaucoup milk thistle, ALA, and water. :)
