Best Dead!!

I am just putting deads back in my rotation. And today I pulled 455 twice. First time I got it then lost it-I was pulling without straps and it pulled through my hands at the top. Second time with straps no problem. This is the best I have ever done. I forgot my belt too. A little preoccupied today I guess. What is everyone elses best dead?

I got 495 last week... I don't use straps or a belt. My hands kill me!

best so far is 405 for 3. I usually do quarter deads or partial deads on the smith and have hit 500 for 6 reps but that hurt.

After incorporating goldenear's full resets into my routine, I deadlifted 565 for 5 reps 2 weeks ago....

Previously, I'd gotten 545 for 5 full resets

my personal best single, which is probably much higher now as I haven't done max reps in months was 610

YEAH BUDDY!!!!!

currently around 405...but i am only into the 2nd week of it again.... i pulled 485 twice with straps....my gym wont allow chalk....soon i will use F-ing pine tar....that will teach'em!!!

I have not done a full rep in quite a while. I do timed partials. (1/2 reps starting at the knee in the power rack.) My best there is 525 for 18. My bro gets 705 for 7 doing this.

i read a craig titus article that said he stopped using straps and added some good size to his forearms shortly there after. i do this but damn it sucks, lol

I cant go heavy on the deads, due to lower back problems  I have to stick with 10-12 reps with lighter wieght.

SWEET BRO! You are progressing very nicely. That 610 would be a total joke, now. I'd say you're good for the big 7 if you can keep your head out of the way and let your body pull what it's capable of pulling.

Last night, I pulled 665 x 5 (full reset reps) and it almost killed me. I was up @ 2 am today just moaning. It felt like I had been hit by a bus! Thankfully, I feel pretty good right now.

2 years ago this past July, I was maxing at this weight...now I'm pulling it for 5's  . Next year, there are going to be a few national and world records fall in the 242 class, LOL!

Knew you would see this thread...lol:cool:

my best last winter was 605 plan on alot more this year after dieting down for the show i can see how much they added to my back

Damn, there are some strong bros on this board - you must be juicers :D My best dead is 725 about 1 month ago at about 203 bodyweight. I'm going to compete in the 198 class next month.

Strangely enough, I can deadlift more without straps then with them. Using straps makes it difficult for me to distribute the weight between my arms evenly. Usually, most people can hold anything their back can pull if they use chalk.

A while back I watched Brent Mikesell deadlift over 800 and his back could handle it fine but he couldn't hold on because he's missing a finger. I can't imagine what he'd pull if he wasn't missing a finger - watching him squat over 1100 is incredible.

Only 415 lbs., but I began pulling only one year ago so I don't feel that bad. Hopefully, by this time next year I will be at 500 or over. That is my goal.
