that is all excellent above and very important, i have been looking into how to get into the ZONE when training, which is similar to some of the things you mention in your post, with the quotes from famous bodybuilders.

you really have to get into the right mindset with bodybuilding training, especially on your most important sets, if you are to be getting the most out of these, also i use something similar to the zone to get me to the gym in the first place and not miss workouts, this describes it really well.

Think thats my favorite also. Sounds cheesy but I didnt see "No Pain No Gain", I was just telling my daughter that.
She is running cross country and I was telling her the hardest practices give you the best results. No pain no gain
seems to cover every thing in life. Simple not easy.
 
In one of Jay Cutlers vids he says something along the lines of
"ive never tried kfc so ill never crave it, ill never want it, and ill prob never try it because im afraid ill like it."

back in one of his first vids thought it was funny. He ate 10 meals a day when that vid was done I forget which one it was.
