TAMPA, FLA. (AP) -- Former pro wrestling champion Brian "Crush" Adams died Monday after he was found unconscious in his home. He was 44. He showed no visible signs of injury and foul play was not suspected, police spokeswoman Janelle McGregor said.

Authorities were awaiting autopsy results from the medical examiner before proceeding with their investigation.




Adams' wife, who was not identified, found her husband not breathing and called 911 about 11 a.m. Fire Rescue workers later pronounced him dead, McGregor said. Adams, a former world tag team champion, last performed for the World Wrestling Federation in 2001 and served intermittently on the roster beginning in 1990, World Wrestling Entertainment said.

WWE spokesman George Cabico had no further comment.

Adams death comes less than two months after pro wrestler Chris Benoit killed his wife and son before hanging himself on the cable of a weight machine in his Georgia home. Prescription anabolic steroids were found in the family's home, raising questions about whether the drugs played a role in the killings.

You said it Swole... It cant be that they die because Vince Prickmahan has them working over 300 shows a year with less then $50,000 pay... they beat their bodies up to entertain us and then get hooked on pain pills and depression... Sad another son is dead, when is Vince going to get his?

Seriously, after Bennoit hit the news I read a article that had all the wrestlers
who had died at a early age. Holy Crap!!!! there were about 12 names I recogonized.
I had just thought they probably retired. Big Boss Man, all three of the Van Ericks and
Many others I cant think of now. There must be some common link with the type of
person that takes it that far. (NOT STERIODS!!!) Some mental depression with that
type of personality. Or with some of them not being a star anymore? I aint no shrink but it happens way to often.

This is strting to make me sick, how many everyday people are found dead, with no signs of injury, but anytime its someone who makes there living through athletics or physcial excellence its publisized and turned into a steroid case. if an account was found in the same circumstances, would anyone shout, he died from roids! i dont think so

if you take a look in the FHM or MAXIM (cant remember which), they have an article in there about Benoit...underneath at the end of the article they list all the wrestlers that have died & what they have died from...the overwhelming majority is from heart attacks...the other were painkillers & cocaine...a couple were regular things but the heart attacks really stood out...
