Fellow Warriors,

I got back in the gym this week after over a year of total absence (hangs head in shame...). I started light, exercising every body part over the course of the last few days just to remind my muscles what will be expected of them....

In any event, when I did Hammer Curls with low-weight dumbbells (25 lbs), I noticed that I felt the burn in the upper part of my forearms far more then in my Braches. I was just wondering...am i doing something wrong to feel so much in my forearms, or is that always the case and I've just forgotten?

You know, I actually started doing that...loosely holding the dumbbell with my fingers against the 'plate,' naturally...geez, maybe i actually still know what I'm doing! LOL!

try a zotmen curl. start with plams up and as you come up rotate to palms down (at the top) then let it down with the palms down and rotate palms up. start again without pausing. PAIN/PUMP

Hammers always hit the upper forearms, but what you can do to lessen this feeling until you get back the mental connection to focus only on the biceps is one to loosen the grip and two, hold the dumbell at the very top when it is vertical, your thumb and forefinger resting on the plates(weight)..Focus on your elbow as the joint it is, keep your elbow in tight and be sure that your arm and elbow is not moving forward in the motion...This strick motion and a loose grip will make a noticeable difference and size and strength will follow..

bump, this is the perfect answer, suprise suprise. B2S is sooooo smart :) Love ya bro :satan:

i tend to use any type of machine that will isolate my biceps. I like to train them heavy to grow, but my shoulders like to take the stess and then whats the point.

I hate training biceps, probably more than anything else.
