Pain killers pre-workout?

ive never liked pills really. ive read that even OTC killers like tylenol can help workouts by delaying lactic acid buildup. for me, the natural endorphins released during a workout override any OTC benefits.
 
lucky, or maybe unlucky, for me, ive never been that strong for my size. i think thats prevented alot of injuries for me. i also dont put 50lbs on my bench press 3 weeks after going on cycle.
 
Taking painkillers before a workout is what almost killed and it ended Tom Princes career.

A lot of guys do that. Even my buddy who wasn't even a pro yet got hooked on pain pills and started the same way. If it is your means of earning an income then yes you may have to take those risks, but for me when I'm squatting 500lbs I want to be able to feel the twinge. Call me a sissy if you want, but I'm not getting anymore torn muscles.
 
I am prescribed THE HEAVIEST Pain Killer on the market (but, I am in the process of getting off of it.. Long story short.. Bad Car accident.. almost killed me... then.. from injuries led to pain killers.. pain killers led to addiction.. addiction led me to treatment.. treatment led me to METHADONE) AND I hate every second of it.. it is the WORST to come off of.. that is why it is Taken me so long, the UPSIDE to Methadone, it kills cravings for opiates, it doesn't hit any vital organ (unless heavy use for over 10 yrs can affect the QT Interval) .. so that being said.. It has been a Godsend and a Downfall. It hasn't inhibited my training as of yet.. but it will.. when I come off.. THE DETOX IS HELL !! And that is why I am telling you guys this.. DON'T GO DOWN THE WRONG PATH. If you don't need them. Don't use them. ESPECIALLY VICODIN. The acetaminophen in it slams the LIVER so hard, and for us that USE AAS .. We all know the taxing our liver deals with with 17-aa's .. so I mean.. yah I know a lot of Powerlifters that will take a few Vic's before a meet to quiet down any pain, and I know a lot more that use regularly like you are describing NAIR.. Because you can workout in a PAIN-FREE ZONE. Yah it's great now.. but what happens when ONE doesn't work anymore.. so you need TWO.. then TWO doesn't cut it .. and you are up to FIVE.. Then you say.. this isn't cutting it anymore. I need something stronger.. enter in Oxycodone/Oxycontin... that's when the real trouble will begin. And don't say NAHH Can't happen to me. It can, MILLIONS of people have thought the same exact thing. Basically, I am just saying.. be smart, think. Pain sucks. I used to like it, now i have forgotten what it feels like.. until I start to come down off of my methadone.. and let me tell you something... NOTHING IN THE WORLD COMPARES TO THE THROES OF A FULL BLOWN METHADONE WITHDRAWAL !!
 
i think mostly beware that you can hurt yourself without knowing it. but that can also happen without pain meds. when all the extra blood leaves your muscle you can then detect the pain. just dont make it an every workout thing and be careful​
 
So I popped a 10mg vik before I worked out last night--turned out being one of my best back sessions in about a year. I couldn't quit. Stamina was incredible, pumo were fantastic and I just didn't want to stop working.

Any one feel me on this one yo?

Oh ya use to do it all the time and then it became 2 pills and 3,4,5.
and moved to something stronger like Roxie's and Oxy's. Oh keep doing
them everyday for your workout until you will have to take them everyday
our you will go thru Withdrawls. STOP NOW it will only get worse believe me i went thru it.

Very true bro i'm going thru the same thing, bad car accident and was paralized from waist down for months and as i got older and workingout real hard the pain got worse and started taking pain meds from Loracets to 80mg Oxy's and pretty soon you won't even make it to the gym trust me
so now i go to a methadone clinic to get the fuck off and not go thru withdrawls. Listen to us bro it's no joke
 
Yup, I was abusing pain killers and benzo's too and never left my bed after awhile and just sat on the couch and got fat. Started drinking too on top of those, I should be dead many times over. Mixing alcohol with what I was taking was very dangerous. Lifting is my therapy for dealing with emotional problems and if I'm having physical pain I'm allowed 3 valium as a muscle relaxer but mainly I just use RICE and Advil. I've got my German made expensive as shit knee brace, got my weight belt for my lumbar, and I just warm up and stretch and do pilates a few times a week and I have barely any pain.

This is having Church up in here. Nothing worse than weaning off a drug you've abused. It feels like your heart is going to explode and the puking and shaking and sweats. I used to snort H when I was 20. Even using it for just a couple months coming off was hell. Thankfully my brother in law was able to prescribe things for me, we were in the same state and he's a cardiologist.
 
All my doctors know about my past abuse and refuse to prescribe me anything opiate based, or anything of the like. I had an awful lumbar pull a couple months ago, couldn't move I was in agony and the doctor said I'm sorry but you're just going to have to take your daily dose of valium and use RICE and Advil. They refuse to give me any pain killers for my cystic ovaries too. Men don't know what kind of pain we women go through, child birth, PMDD, etc.
If you can just buck up, suck it up, do what's healthy, you'll get through the pain.

In the locker room, I like to suck on an OC 80 to get the coating off, then I crush it and snort it in one huge railroad line, lol, then commence onward to my mighty lifting session son!!:thumbsup:

sucking the coating off the 80mg Oxy's. this shit is no joke and it's
