Partial tear to Vastus Medialis is irrepairable...

The knee swelling has finally come down enough to see things. There is a noticable tear of the vastus medialis at the knee insertion. Its only partial about 1.5 inches, but I'm fucking bummed. Is this going to hinder my leg development? Its not too noticable when. I flex but you can see a little extra skin folding between the muscle and knee. I'm also concerned as to how fast and heavy I can progress (I.e. how much this tear has weakened the insertion). Any advice? I'm applying IGF directly to it starting today.

Ya, the best in the area. The injury happened on 5/26, got the MRI two days later and had my first visit with him about 4 days after that. There was a huge hematoma in the vastus medialis, but he could see the medial retinaculum was torn and the knee cap was dislocated, but not the rest. Yesterday he saw the tear and said it wasn't something surgery could help as its pretty small. I'm going on the 8th of this month for another MRI. Its really getting to me. You know bodybuilders are perfectionists. If its so small why can't they make a small incision and go and fix it? Its right next to the knee!

Dude, maybe they can't fix it, because it is so small, they would do more damage to go in and fix it than if it would just heal on it's own. Keep applying the IGF, you know that stuff is a miracle drug of sorts.

I'm doing that. I guess its not a big deal,its just a small divot, but it scares me b/c I do tend to go pretty heavy. Besides it just bothers me that its a permenant thing and they'll never look the exact same.
