Help with a BB show

So I really have wanted to do a show for a couple years and want to make it happen this year. They have the NPC in my area at end of April or end of July. They have more in March and November, but I was hoping for May or JUne. lol. Im in 2nd week of cruise after a 12 week blast. I really don't think its possible to be ready by end of April. I am like 18% bf if not a little more. I look good, full and muscular, but that is a lot of fat to shred in a little over 2 months. I was gonna start a blast at mid february for my cut. This will leave 5 months till the show though and I didn't want to stay on cycle this long. lol. Any recommendations? Should I look for another local show in May or June? Also the show at end of July is an open. What does that mean? It is still going to be by weight class I imagine... Also when I register do I have to pick a weight class? I am not sure what my weight will be so hate to sign up for a weight class and come in weighing over or under. Anyone want to chime in with some advice here I would greatly appreciate.

For drugs I was thinking,
Test 750 week
EQ 750 week
Tren 500 week
Winny, not sure to kick start or use toward end.
IGF
Clen 120mcgs two weeks on/ two weeks off/ repeat

you will weigh in bro and be put into the proper class, and you can easily be ready by the end of april, thats 15 weeks from now! plenty of time to get shredded and do so without compromising any muscle! So yeah end of April is more then enough time, but if you feel comfortable doing a later show then thats your choice, what i do know is a lot and i mean a whole lot of guys wind up always putting show after show off and psyching themselves out!

I find it best to pick a show , tell a couple friends your doing thats how on that date and your less likely to back out and look like a chicken shit ! Not saying thats you, but i know so many guys who talk a big game and then never did shit, so thats my best advice brutha, pick a show and start dieting slowly now! If your full and muscular right now as u said, then you should have no problem at all getting ready in 15 weeks!!!

I can help you or we have loads of guys here who have competed and plenty of info for you to read in the archived forums at the bottom of the site with competition prep info,

Good luck to ya brutha!! Not many people get up there on stage! Its a whole new game brutha, and you will find that if you can do that, with the hard dieting and training, then you can do anything in life, cause it aint easy brutha!! You'll make yourself proud, you'll see!

Shit i just noticed you listed your gear at the bottom of that post, for some reason i thought it was a signature lol,i wasn't paying attention

I can help ya with that to, and the main and best advice your ever going to get if your indeed competing, is you pick ONE GUY, and listen to him, you can't try listening to 10 different guys and try incorporating all of them, you need to find one guy who knows his shit and who can help you, preferably local, online you can get help up until about 12 weeks out, then its time to listen to one person and one person only, who knows their drugs and their posing, carb loading, water loading, sodium etc...

anyhow, that cycle u listed is fine this far out, and you can run a lot of it up until 10 days out, provided the test is prop, and i always ran my tren ace right through the show, dropped test 10 days out, dropped winny , dropped igf, just stayed on tren and ECA stack through show

but you have a good 3-4 weeks to still hit the gear hard, then coast on a nice dose for a while, then start bringing it down near show

you can EASILY DO THIS now and shoot for End of April show! No time like now brutha!

Well only thing is I don't have all the gear on hand. Only test e, clen, and tren. Also we bought a house and are moving in a month so it might be hard to diet and just adding more stress. I am still thinking on it. I could def use some help with drugs, carb loading, etc. If your down I would be all ears! I am serious and don't want to be the guy that just talks about it. I love this sport and its my life. I may as well compete and have something to work for.

Can i use test e or sust till a month out then switch to prop ya think? Also if i shoot for april should i use mast instead of EQ since it will be much quicker to act?

yeah bro you will wanna with the enanthate out for propionate about 6-7 weeks out, and yes masteron would be a much wiser choice over eq, though i never used masteron, and got plenty shredded without it, and i dodnt use any diuretics either, if you are religious about it and stick to ur game plan you can get as shredded as they come without playing a round with a diuretic which could fuck you up right before the show making all those weeks of prep worthless, nothing sucks more then kicking ass for 12 weeks and getting into the best shape of your life, only to walk on stage flat or bloated from the diuretic. lol, we've had some guys here that happened to, and its really unfortunate.

I would suggest though if your moving will be dealing with closings being post pond time after time and stressed the fuck out, then wait bro and do it right! I mean you can still do it all of course, move, and compete, i know loads of guys who worked 101-2 hour days and competed in Nationals and placed, so i guess that comes down to you knowing yourself, and what you can handle, just don't under estimate how hard dieting is, for me it was hell the first time, and though people said it got easier the more shows you do, well I fucking hated dieting all 3 shows, my wife however is one of those people it didn't bother too much,

In any case I think its Awsome that your going to step on stage! Its an amazing experience, meeting new people, networking, etc… its just fun man!

And if you don't have all your gear then you know you can't decide shit until you have absolutely everything your going to need

I also misread your post, i didn't realize you already purchased the house and just need to move in, thats not that stressful, i thought you still had to deal with closings and all the bullshit that comes up last minute, but if u already bought it and just need to move, then i say go for it brutha, so long as u have your gear

and Congrats on the new house bro! Thats awesome! I am looking to buy a new house this year to! anyhow Congrats

No we are still in process of closing, inspections, etc. I don't have gear on hand either. Think it would be better if I wait till July. It will give me another month till I have to start fine tuning my dieting. I can continue a cruise for another month too to clear recepters. Then hit it hard and have more time to practice posing and learn what I have know to prep myself. That will be almost a year on gear which I didn't want to do, but fuck it. May as well go for this all out. I would def like to come to you for help on this. Think I will just get some mast instead of EQ and run that for a while with the test and tren. Since I am blasting this gear for like 4 months should i get on tren e first then switch to ace 2 months out? Also should I wait to run winny and mast till 12 weeks out?

i never used tren enanthate so i can't speak on it, but i started my tren ace, winny, propionate like 12 weeks out from show and ran tren ace straight through show, and dropped the other stuff 10 days out, worked like a charm , but I'm not real familiar with masteron, but i know how most guys run it pre contest, its pretty basic. Plus we have some pros and top level guys on here we can ask, or i can ask about the mastering and such. I'd be happy to help you out brutha

I think its smart though to put it off since you have so much going on as well.

Sweet could use the help bro! Ill plan on 12 weeks out starting everything or maybe a little earlier like 16 weeks since you suggest to stop everything but tren 10 days out. I haven't used mast either, but think I will throw it in for the extra help. This will be exciting! I already talked to the Chairmen of NPC. There is a contest on July 11th and then another two day event of the 17th. May as well do both since I will be ready to go. Real nice guy. Answered phone on 2nd ring and gave me all kinds of good info. Looking at pics online of previous contest is insane. Some guys are 3%bf and shredded to the tilt and others are like 15% and look like total shit. Haha. I had to ask if some of them even lifted! My chest and mid section will be my weakness. My strengths will be back and shoulders.

yeah i did my 2nd and 3rd show a week apart, i figured the same thing, why not do it since I'm already in shape, plus my wife was doing that 2nd show, so i wanted to compete with her, so yeah a lot of guys d those back to back shows as I'm sure you know, I think your going to love it bro! Its super exciting if I'm being honest, and i kind of miss it, nothing like the smell of protan in the morning lmao

So I decided instead of cruising a long time and doing a really long cycle leading up to contest to do two small cycles. After my fourth week of cruise I am going to blast:
Sust 250 at 750mg/weekly
Tren ace at 500mg/ weekly
Masteron at 400mg/ weekly
Winny tabs at 50mg weekly.
Was gonna run winny 4 weeks and other stuff about 8 weeks. Then take a month off and cruise.
Then do another 8 week blast leading up to contest. Maybe use primo instead of mast and prop test instead of sust and keep the rest the same. First blast should give me a chance to get down to a good bf % (10-12) Then second blast I can really get it down and fine tune everything. This seem like a good idea? I don't want to come to a point where I'm abusing gear. This would put me at a nine month point of being on cycle by time contest comes. 3 cycles in 9 months I imagine is going to give some sweet results.

It looks very solid to me brutha, as I was reading, and thinking ahead, you were nailing everything i was thinking sentence by sentence, i was thinking "hope he switches from sustanon to prop" in second cycle leading into show and sure enough that was your next statement, lol, you have it down cycle wise brutha and that looks like a very solid plan, and you know your body better than anyone else and know what your doing, you just need the basics of prepping for a show diet wise, and learning how the water, sodium, loads work, where and when to put your fats at week by week etc..

Now I don't know if your a naturally lean guy, or if you planned on using a diuretic or not, (i never have) but if you do decide to, it would be a more then good idea to to a trial run with it in your first cycle, to see how your body responds to it, and keep a note book, of what you ate and when you ate it, trained etc… I mean down to every calorie. I always found it very useful keeping track of what i ate and how my body responded to it that day or next day, so i could have a good idea of how i would be able to dial it in on the day of the show.

Anyhow, looks great brutha! Its never to early to start learning how to pose, mandatories and what not lol, Getting your posing trunks.

Have you checked out any of the posts in our Contest preparation forum down in the archived forums area? We have a lot of very good contest prep threads from a matures to pros and nationals guys, I think dpsquat, has some good threads in that forum, he prepped me a lot my first go around and i came in shredded, so maybe read some of his posts, he had me eat a Flank Steak the morning of the show, lol, as weird as it sounded, i did it, along with all the other things he said and i was good to go. lol,

Whatever you do , don't follow that "shit loading" prep idea, lol,

You are on the right track, my man. Presser has given you mighty good advice and instruction. I have been a competitor since 1980, over 5o shows. I will say that judges look at conditioning first and foremost. Your diet must be on point all the time. And drink water every chance you get. Also, your cardio should be daily if not twice a day. I like the gear you mentioned along with Presser's comments. Personally I like Winstrol (Zambon) right up to the show, daily. Good look man.
Stay the course. Lastly, document every thing you do, EVERYTHING, during this endeavor.

That's good to know my gear choice is on point. I do know how to diet at least at a basic and amateur level. It is just sticking to it that can be hard! I'm not going to use insulin or gh this go around. Maybe I'll try one of those out next year. I will be using good ol MC IGF!

As far as posing goes suppose just watching other shows on you tube I can teach myself the side chest, double bis, most muscular, etc.

I know the hard part is gonna be tuning in the diet and knowing how many carbs and fats to eat. Do you cut all carbs out so many days before the show then carb load day of show? That's what I read somewhere. Ya I will def get into some of those forumns and post on guys prepping for a show. Thanks so much for some guidance on this. Time to go hit some legs at the gym. :)

Thanks brotha. Ya getting diet on point all the time will be my struggle. Usually when I cut I incorporate too many cheat meals. Now competing don't think I will want to incorporate any. Cardio twice a day would be down right hardcore. I just don't have the time for that. I do like the fasted cardio. It has always worked for me to get lean quick. Well I appreciate your input! You have been doing this a long time! I'm sure it gets easier but never easy.

Posing is a matter of patience and drive. Always practice, starting now. Watch videos of others and begin to develop a routine that highlights your good points and hides any weaknesses. After every set of a movement flex and hold tight that muscle for 10-20 seconds. This will aide in the ease of posing on stage, as well as that conditioned look. And you must practice your mandatories frequently. And in regards to your cardio, I, too, am an advocate of fasting cardio, specifically in the morning. And with that being said you could easily devote 20 minutes of HITT cardio after training. Feel free to pick my brain on anything. I don't claim to be a guru, but I do have over 30 years of competing.

Ok ya I really appreciate the help. Well noted. I'll probably have all the questions when I get closer to the show. Between you and Presser I feel like I got a good heads up on what to do this far out to prepare. I'll keep this thread and come back with questions as I have them and sure I will have more. Lol. I'm excited to do this though. I have the discipline I just have to stay focused on the goal.

I will add another item at this point, and that is start eating clean right now. Now this does not mean to starve yourself. You should never feel hungry. Cravings are a different story. Just don't have anything that will sabatoge your goal in the cupboards. You have gotten me excited for you as well as my future goals. I want to compete again, maybe in 2016, I don't know. I'm still recovering from back surgery and have to be careful.
