Cycle #2 testosterone cypionate

Hello all! So I finished my first cycle @ 200mg/wk (test cyp) for 10 weeks two months ago and I was fairly pleased with the results. I didn't experience much strength gain, but I did put on a solid 12 lbs. My second cycle wasn't scheduled until September 27th (which I was hoping to run 500 mg/wk), but my doc wanted more blood work since my first checkup came in at 1800, which was a little higher than he wanted. My question is: now that I have 30 days to get my bloods, I'm thinking of just running a 150 mg/wk cycle for 4 weeks (to get my bloods right) then blasting up to 500/wk for ten weeks. Do you think this is a good idea or should I wait and let the first "mini-cycle" clear out, wait another 10 weeks or so and then start my second cycle? As always, any advice is appreciated!!

Most guys follow the time on equals time off rule so if you were on for ten weeks then take ten weeks off. I found I really start to feel the test at about ten weeks so I like to run longer cycles. How long after your last pin did the doc check youre bloods? Youre levels should be back to normal now.

Thanks for the info! I actually have a TRT doc, so I was prescribed 200mg/wk with follow-up bloods (while I was on), which came back with my test levels @ 1800, which he deemed too high so he told me to back it down to 180mg/wk and retest in a few months. Well, since then, I've come off completely, so I'm afraid if I have my bloods while completely off, they'll come back too low and he'll smell something fishy. That's why I was thinking of running 150mg/wk for a few weeks before my new blood work. By the way, I did notice the test really starting to kick in toward the end of my cycle, so hearing what you have to say, I think I'll run a longer cycle this go-round. Do you think I should start blasting right after my bloods or should I take some time off after this "mini cycle"?

If your in trt then you don't need to take 10 weeks off. 4-8 weeks is the norm.

i would go to mother fucking town right after your blood work brutha! lol, and I'm supreised he didn't think something was fishy from the start with that initial number

I agree with presser. Mine was high like that once and the Dr freaked out. he ordered another blood test and a hypoglandism test (thyroid) and told me I was looking at a heart attack if those numbers didn't come down.

lol, first time my numbers came back many years ago they were crazy high and the doctor called me for a special appointment to talk, and he said he thought i might have Testicular cancer, due to my testosterone levels being off the charts, so i explained the gear use and he said that explains it, lol, but apparently people with testicular cancer have high readings like someone on. Who knew!! lol

Yup giving that extra boost right before they cut them off or you die..sucks either way.

How long after your last pin was your blood drawn? At 200/week, you might just need to wait a week or 2 for the level to drop to where he wants to see it. He's probably looking for 1200 week after your last pin, though many doc's don't want to see anything higher than 600-800 a week after. Based on him telling you to drop it by 20 mg a week, I'm guessing he's ok with 1200 or so...

I had my blood drawn 3 days after my last pin, which was 100mg (I was pinning 2x/wk). I would agree that's a good guess, as he's told me in the beginning he's not too concerned with numbers, but more with how I'm feeling (though I suppose 1800 ng/dl is a bit too high for his liking). Since I've been off, though, I didn't want to test too low, either, so I was planning on running 150mg/wk, then give it 5-7 days to taper down.

1200 is right around the top of the range, which varies depending on the lab (I have no idea why this is so, but it is. It seems like the range should be universal, but it's not). Unless your doc tells you otherwise, do your 150 mg in 1 shot and have blood drawn one week later, the day of your next pin, but before you pin. 3 days is just about the time test cyp will show max level (maybe 4 days), so you got a snapshot of your peak. If you do 150 a week in 1 pin per week for a while and draw blood 7 days after the last injection, I bet your level will be well within "acceptable" limits. At that dose, blood drawn like I said, I usually end up around 550-650 ng/dl.

No doubt 2x per week keeps levels more steady, but sounds like you need to make your doc happy at the moment.

Update: my doc just called me with my labs - test levels reading at a just-right 865 after following the above advice. Thanks for the input bros!
