PED use in professional sport

Just wanted to hear your opinions on how you think drugs such as EPO, HGH, IGF, AAS should be treated in regards to professional athletes. Whether or not it should vary dependant on how much contact is involved in the sport. I used through my career and I'm not sure how I honestly feel about that although it was glaringly obvious that 90% of the others involved in the sport are doing the same thing.

The UFC for example are doing a good job of cleaning up the sport at the moment which is promising but should they just allow it ?

Are they doing a better job or giving people the apperance that they are cleaning up?

Not sure what has changed in the testing world since John Romono said a drug test is an IQ test, only the idoits fail them.

They ( the UFC ) just hired USADA and are doing 24/7 365 random tests to athletes they believe are using and they are using the highest standard of testing available. Testing in the UFC is now tougher then olympic level. Obviously people are still using but its a lot tougher then it ever has been. Previously even for world title fights there was a fight night drug test only and EPO and HGH weren't even tested for. Basically you were free to use whatever you wanted as long as you pissed clean on fight night

personally i think PED use should be legal across the board in all sports. Now with that said, and considering its NOT legal, then i think at the professional level if you cheat then you deserve whatever happens if you caught. It is an unfair advantage no doubt about it, and for the guys and gals who dont wish to break the law, or chance their careers, then swift action should be taken against those who cheat.

Now if it were legal, and again i think it should be in all sports. If were legal and one guy used and one didnt then shame on the guy who didnt use ped if he gets his ass kicked !

Lets not forgot that steroids, PEDS, ""andro"" lol, saved baseball, baseball was dead on the vine until Mark Mcgwire and the homerun derby era lol, no one likes to watch a game of technical pitching lol, people wanna see long balls! Power hitting!

Now if you took steroids out of sports somehow totally, then a lot of the sports we know and love, would suck balls! Why were we able to watch Peyton Manning at his age come back and win a super bowl , or come back from a neck fusion surgery, pure and simple HGH, stem cells treatments and GOD knows what else! Yeah i know the script was in his wifes name lol, just like roger clemons was lol,

anyways, i think it should all be legal, its more for recovery anyhow, healing powers on peds are much greater, sure you will have a power advantage, but so what if everyone has it!

But to my original point, since its illegal, then i think its fucked up if say an MMA fighter beats the shit out of someone and he won due to the ped use, and the guy he beat was not juiced, so yeah its a fucked up unfair advantage, but i say make it all legal

Honestly at this point...probably 90% are using as you said. To completely rid the use of PED's at this point would probably cause a huge loss in interest by the audience. The level of performance by the athletes would drop and so would the interest of the fans. Nobody wants to watch a sport regress. That's my opinion. These people are getting paid millions to entertain us, let them juice dammit lol.

agreed. I'm not proud of it. I like the way its done it bodybuilding with a "natural" and un tested federation.

I don't think PED use is safe in contact sports, especially MMA, where you could literally kill someone. But, for sports like baseball, I'm all for it. But, then again, you get a pitcher killed from getting hit in the head with a line drive from a guy with Mark McGwire's strength and they'd get banned all over again.

I think that instead of making sports "unfair", PEDs could actually level the playing field. I am naturally a "wiry" build...long limbs and very thin. At my peak, I was 6' and 170 pounds. How can I compete with someone who has better genetics and can naturally reach a lean 200 pounds of body weight? It took me a few cycles to reach 200 pounds. So, have I cheated to reach the 200 pounds that the other guy was at naturally?

To be honest and speaking from experience, steroids aren't the issue. While fighting my dosages were very low. An example cycle would be test prop 150mg a week, mast prop 150mg a week and anavar 30-50mg ed. I tried bumping doses up but id get cramps, my cardio would suffer, id put too much weight on, id be slower. I never tried EPO as I never had the resources to pay for the weekly (minimum) blood tests and the drug itself but I've seen what it can do and I couldn't believe my eyes. The repetition and endless cardio people had over me after just a few weeks of being on it was incredible.

steroid PEDS, yes im with ya, but even professional fighting would beneift from HGH or IGF usage for healing aspects alone, and wouldnt give that rage edge like testostrone or tren where you could kill someone in the cage, so yes and no for me with ur post

In 2011 the NFL CBA gave THREE YEARS notice that HGH would be banned. Why? To allow Chemists to develop an HGH untraceable a GOOGLE % that every single solitary NFL athelete is spending $20k per month on designer AAS. as far as UFC only top pro's have the money. Light Heavy Weights in UFC are the scariest human beings I've ever seen and theyre the reason I carry concealed. Saw two big dudes get in a fight at my gym on Sunday over the fucking treadmill. Tren much losers? Both of them banned from the gym.

I can tell you one thing is that none of those guys are on tren they wouldn't be able to fight anywhere near their capability. Tough enough fighting on big doses of test let alone tren. Had a teammate try tren during fight camp, he was exhausted after the first round of sparring and said that the emotions on fight week were insane. He had multiple panic attacks before the fight even happened and he had to come off

I was speaking about the two losers at my gym on Tren....guy got off to get water and somebody jumped on the came back and they punched each other and went to the ground. My trainer that does 6 sets of 300lb pull downs pulled them apart. The short kid came back and he tossed him into a machine with one arm lime he was a ragdolland not a 200lb dude. Nah. UFC fighters have a cardio threshold that maybe 1% of the human population can attain. Light heavyweight s are scarey.
