Scuba Diving and AS..

Hello all..
I have been reading all the usefull information from you all and wondered if anyone has heard of any adverse effects with scuba diving and AS use. I dive everyday and would like to know if the increased amount of nitrogen in the blood or any of the other side effects attributed to diving would interfere with AS usage. Thanks and keep up the informative posts!! Matt

I think I remember another question similar to yours. As I recall, the nitrogen in your muscles from steroids is molecular, while the nitrogen in your tissues from diving is a disolved gas. The disolved gas will come out of solution while the absorbed nitrogen at the molecular level will not, so there is no problem diving. I'm going scuba diving after Thanksgiving. If I live, I'll report back. DAN will probably be able to give you a better explanation if you contact them.

good answer, I was going to say contact DAN. Of course they will probably not have an official opinion, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

i haven't had any problems that i have noticed and i dive from may through september here.
last winter i was in the virgin islands and dove 40 feet spear fishing and had no effects whatsoever. i am no doctor though so maybe ask yours.

I've dove many times on AS and never had any problems. Did a dive in the Bahamas to 166ft. I'd contact DAN though just be on the safe side.

I received the run around from DAN as well. I havent been able to find any definitive info from the internet, and am very hesitant to ask my doctor. I doubt any general practise doctor would know the answer to this question anyway. I will continue my search and update this post if anything useful comes up.
