Insulin users - what MRP do you use?

To those who have used insulin effectively: Gear101, DecaDent, gearedup, choke, etc.

Here's what has been recommended:
insulin + MRP immediately post-workout
MRP or meal one hour later
MRP one hour later

The rule of thumb of 10g carbs and 3-4g protein per iu of 'slin has also been mentioned.

I assume this requirement is for each of the MRP's?

For the sake of discussion, let's say I work up to 8iu of slin, that would mean I would need an MRP with 80g of carbs and 32g of protein. This seems to be a MUCH higher carb-to-protein ratio than most of the MRP's out there - most contain around 30 g carbs and 40g protein.

So do you add maltodextrin or something or is there an MRP out there with this kind of ratio? Or did you mean a "gainer" like NLarge, which has 89g carbs and 52g protein?

P.S. Here's the nutrition information for all the pre-mixed formulas from proteinfactory. It was helpful to me to compare ratios... is one of these ratios optimum?:

After reading everything in the articles forum, it seems like it should go more like this:

Immediately post-workout:
- insulin
- carbohydrate drink like Twinlab ProFuel that contains at least 100g simple carbs
- 40g whey protein

1 hour later:
- MRP OR
- balanced no-fat meal

1 hour later:
- MRP


...so I guess the 10g carbs per 1iu slin rule of thumb only applies immediately post-injection?
Am I on the right track here? Corrections/suggestions?

*Yes man, dead on. Consume at least 10 grams carbs per IU within 1/2 hour after injection.*

I Drink 1 carbo force (110 grams of carbs) within 1/2hour of administering 10iu's . Then I usually will drink HDT's Pro blend 55 with skim milk and a clean meal (Fish Filet and veggies) about 1 hour after that.

So this is my schedule :
4pm. Immediately before workout- 10 IU's slin
Drink 1 carbo force during my workout, I don't chug it I sip over 10 minute period, if I feel just the slightest of side effect I will consume another. My workouts last 1 hour.
6 pm. I hour after my workout is completed 10 more IU's.
Drink another Carbo-force.
7 pm I drink my Pro blend 55 and a good clean meal.
10 pm more pro blend 55 and usually a bowl of total or something to get me thru the night.

This method has brought me success, many bro's on here are quick to point out, (rightfully so) that this is a method that should be left to more experienced slin users. It is harder to detect the effect of HypoGlycemia while you are working out. Hope this helps.
 
What about two scoops of the post training formula from protein facteory. That would be 80g of carbs, 60g of protein and .4g of fat. Or if you wanted 0g of fat you could drink Isopure MRPs and add your own dextrose.
