Can someone way smarter than me please give a brief summary that explains what GH and Slin do to your insulin and glucose levels. And what that means with respect to "Hypo" and "Hyper" Glycemia?

And, I mean short sweet and simple. It that is possible.

Like: This raises this/ This lowers this/ this is what you need to be aware of with these drugs/ GH effects slin like this/ slin effects GH like this.

Something like that.

I would like to write in this thread what I understand about it, but I am a wus and I don't want to get flamed for being totally wrong. :D

Hyperglycemia- Glucose (Sugar) levels are to high in blood
Hypoglycemia- Glucose (sugar) levels are to low

Medically Insulin is used to lower the sugar levels in those who suffer from Hyperglycemia (Diabetes).

In a person with normal glucose counts Insilin can easily lower the
the glucose to dangerous levels resulting in Hypoglycemic shock.
The regulator is simple carb intake. At least 10 grams of carbs for each IU of insulin is a good rule of thumb.

Go to the articles of interest and read the Slin threads, every possible question has been covered there in much more detail than I explained.

Insulin is like a key that opens up a door in your cells to let the sugar in from the bloodstream.
Increase insulin:increase number of keys=more doors that open up=more glucose leaves the bloodstream=blood sugar falls=Hypoglcemia

HGH can cause insulin resistance, essentially blocking the glucose door to your cells. Increase HGH:some doors blocked=sugar has harder time getting into the cell=sugar levels rise in bloodstream=Hyperglycemia

The brain uses glucose almost exclusivley for energy and has very limited glucose storage. Add to much insulin=to many open doors in the cells=blood sugar levels fall=Hypoglycemia=not enough glucose for brain cells=brain shuts down=sleepy=coma

Glucagon(another hormone) and adrenaline are released if this happens to try and counter the effect. They trigger a tremble, shake, sweat usually. HGH is not really strong enough at blocking doors to counter a strong Insulin effect like this.

Not enough Insulin around and there are not enough keys to open the doors: Glucose is trapped in the bloodstream=blood glucose levels rise=Hyperglycemia. The body tries to counter this and get rid of the glucose with the kidneys. You can't pee sugar cubes so it pulls water with it. You get thirsty, hungry, tired, and pee alot if your sugar goes up=Hyerglycemia.

Hope that analogy helps.

Choke, I have read and read and read all of those articles and ones from other boards. This is why I see the need for this thread. The info you just posted has helped my understanding tremendously. So, thank you.

And Deca, Holy Shit. That is EXACTLY what I needed. I know that it will help many with their research reguarding insulin/GH. Thank you for this.

One of my questions was: Do I really need to worry about the effects of GH on my glucose levels. And, from what I am gathering, I assume that at 3-6 iu's ed the answer would be "probably not, just drink plenty of water".

And, I am also trying to understand exactly what GH does to Slin and what Slin does to GH to make sure I have all of this "glucose level stuff" figured out before I start the Slin.

Another question: We know that you need to do GH for several months to notice gains/improvements from it. But, does that mean for the sides too? Are there any sides that one may expect from GH immediately? And at what doses would they occur?

Thanks bro's. I am eating this up. And I know others are too.

Hostile,glad it helped.

: Do I really need to worry about the effects of GH on my glucose levels. And, from what I am gathering, I assume that at 3-6 iu's ed the answer would be "probably not, just drink plenty of water".
That's been my experience,no real impact.
As far as early sides:

You can get swelling of feet and hands early on as a side if the dosage is to high or to frequent. This can also result in carpal tunnel symptoms(hands go "sleep"/electrical type pain when bumping palm side of the wrist) from the swelling and nerve entrapement at the wrist bones. Stop a few days and the swelling goes down, restart at a lower dose.
