It feels like something is in there because there is...don't worry about it.

close to a nerve maybe.. if you can walk it doesn't hurt that much

Sounds perfectly normal to me. I'm not a doctor, but I played one when I was 5. Just be sure to move it around as much as you can. Perfect if you can get some exercise the same day. Even on upper body days I always do a little with the legs (like a warm up) to help the injection. Never get sore at all.

i can still feel it in my glute today and when i tense my arse i can feel it sticking out a little.

My right glute always kills the next day, the left one never hurts. It's kinda weird cause I'm right handed so you'd think the right side would be easier.

Anyway, I posted a thread on this recently on AR and got some good tips:

1)run the filled syringe under warm water before injecting
2)jab the needle in quickly and straight
3)try not to shake during the injection
4)don't turn the needle while it's in
5)relax the glute being injected
6)inject slowly (I try to take 1 minute per CC)
7)always massage the injection area for a couple minutes afterwards

Good luck next time! Just take your time and try to remember the above.

Give it a day or so if it still hurts, like gear state you probably went to close to the nerve. View an anatomy chart and look where the nerves run down the spinal cord and down the leg this might help in staying clear of it in the future. I have hit the nerve before and it usally hurts right away and twice as bad the next day so i doubt that you hit it directly
