what is everyone's favorite post workout meal??

i sometimes mix some ABB protien shake mix, 50gms..and a ultra fuel...and about 600 mg ALA..

what do u guys like to use?

Oh sorry you mean real food. Actually I like to mix about 75mg protien with a serving of Orange cell-tech this about 10 minutes after 10-20 iu slin. (yeah I now go ahead start the flaming about the cell-tech) Then back that up about an hour to two hours later with another 40 - 50 mgs protien and maybe 20mg carbs. Later after the slin is peaked and about gone I'll eat a real meal. Got to watch those fats while your slin is active!!!!!
 
use schwartz labs

Hyper cell with a scoop of cytodyne vanilla protien and extra creatine and glutamine........ and ah well slin sometimes and ah well mcdonalds and ah well ah wendys and ah well skyline!
 
I'm drinking 4 1/2 scoops of Prolabs NLarge2 mixed with 10mgs. of Glutamine right after a workout. (If I forget to bring that, I'll buy 2 Blue Lightning or Mass Recovery drinks by ABB at the gym) An hour later, I always eat a big meal.
 
cell tech is nto that bad, good mass gainer, even though its $$ but i thought it was ok, i like eas phosphagen thouhg, cause i have the ala...its all about dextrose too, gotta have that...
 
My favorite is probably a scoop or a little more (30-40g) of schwartz labs whey protein in 8oz of skim milk, and a fat free mixed berry muffin from a local health food store (the muffin's are awesome). Today I had the protein powder, and two low fat and very simple carb mini muffins with a little cherry pie filling on top. Very tasty :)

Sometimes I'll want to go workout on a day I'd otherwise take off just so I can eat a post workout meal.
 
yea, i hear that weirdaAl...i love to on a day off to eat a whole domino's large, with breadsticks....unreal...the next day ill have great workouts too, from all the carbs...
 
Bro's need to understand how important it is to get the right type of carb post-workout. Twix or fruit have fructose... which is useless as a post workout carb. Fructose sugar and fruit sugar replace liver glycogern first... instead of muscle glycogen.

Dextrose (and there is another but can't think of it) goes to your muscles first and that's where you want it.

I hear ya on the fructose...but damn, I love a good chocolate treat! Hey, I'm bulking up now and I CAN....after dieting for 4 months, I deserve a break.

At 180 lbs I go through a bit less than an lb per week, depending on your size you may need more. Figure about .6 gms per lb of body weight (so at 200 lbs you'll use 120 gms)


As for the 1 gm of ala, they don't sell that, you need to get it from www.anabolical.com
 
NA,NA,NA.Ya'll got it wrong.......120grams whey isolate protein,200 grams carbs(I get from 120 grams cytomax and 80 grams maltodextrin),25 grams glutamine,10 grams BCAA,10 grams micronized creatine,maybe mix in a banana and some peanut butter,sip on some water and chase with ginger and Animal Pak Vit+Min........THAT will pack on some lean mass!!!
 
rooster that sounds great, but where do u get such a post workout shake...making that anabolic treat sounds like a workout in itself.....
 
I can affoed it because I know where to get super

:) deals on supps.It takes 60 seconds to scoop all the powders in a cup.Then add water and all powders in a vitamix(blender)and within 3 minutes of your workout its time to heal....YAAAAAA!!!!!!:D
