I've done it in the past, and it was really helpful. If I were prepping for a contest, I certainly would again.

I did it for 6 months last year when doing my CKD. Luckily I have an electroinic food diary.

Been doing a journal for 6 years, I used to keep it very carefully in a computer database and get exact macronutirent totals, but now I just jot it down and get a rough total...

Even though I weigh my food and eat exact portions I believe that there is enough deviance in the products vs the label claims that it's not worth the effort to track it that carefully... Just pick up two products from two manufacturers that are suppose to be identical, quite often the macronutrient contents are different....

I used to presser, specially in season, but as most of us I eat bout the same thing day in and day out so there is very little variation in my intake...I am going to start keeping a journal again of eating to see if it will help me dial in for getting HUGE like all you big mofos on here!

I chart out most of my meals in an excel spreadsheet. Lately I have fallen into a rut and have been eating pretty much the same foods and qty's 5 days a week. The weekends I eat differently so I have to add them up. For me being an extreem endomorph I have to do it. It's not an option.

i done that for one of my contest. I wrote everything down in a notebook. Pro. carbs, fats and calories. it really takes alot of time but i think it will help in the future.

I've done it for 3 years now and find it's quite useful to refer back to when planning your next bulker or cutter.

On computer and system works well. Can't beat keeping track

I admit it, I am lazy and agree with Gear...I have tried to keep track in teh past, but it is really time consuming and tough to do...on that note, I don't compete or anything, so I am not as concerned as some others.
