question for you guys bulking in the winter. how much fat do you put on? do you try to eat everything you can and not much worry about your waistline, or try to monitor your waistline while adding mass. in the past ive always done well to add 15 to 20 pounds with maybe an increase in 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch around my gut, most vets are telling me that i'm robbing myselft while on gear that i need to eat like a horse and not worry about my waistline, well, first week into my cycle and i have been eating hard and very clean (about 400g of protein, and 400g of carbs) and my weight is up from 212 to 219 in 5 days, but my waist is also up 1/2". at this rate over the next 10-12 weeks i'm sure i will gain a shit load of weight, but hell i'll gain several inches in my waist and be in 38 jeans. should i cut back a little in diet, or stay with it, what do you guys suggest. thanks

Yes, you do need to eat while bulking but to what extent? Everyone is different. Age and bodytype play major rolls. You may want to try cardio a few times a week in order to keep fat gain at a minimum. There are other chemical tricks you can try too- like GH & a low dose of T3. You can also try to vary your carbs.

I'm about to start my winter bulk (goodbye abs) and I'm cutting all the way up to the point I start. Heard somewhere that the rebound effect lasts between 10-14 days. By this you can really pack in the calories without worrying too much about adding fat. So I'm starting off with 650g protein, 325g carbs & 35g of fat (which is a boat load of calories & carbs for me). After that I'm going to cut calories back a bit. This is all theory at this point and I'm sure I'll make adjustments as I go.

Why put fat weight on. Then you have to take more chemicals later to take it off. Not to mention the boring miserable hours of cardio. Eat but eat clean. AS much lean protien and vegetables as you can throw down. Smoke some maraijuana before evening meal and woof down the clean food with a gallon of water. Personnally I dont like fat wieght ever.

Of course everyone is different, but for myself I feel that I have to eat a shitload to bulk and just worry about cutting fat afterwards.

I'm sure others will have more to add though.

thanks, i know its hard to do both. i do have t3 and will start it shortly, i was just curious to how big most guys let the guts get before they say enough is enough.

In the off season I try to get about 20 lbs heavier than the weight I want to compete at...hell in the winter I am a hog....When ronnie was on lenno jay asked him what he wieghed off season.....340 @ 16% there is your answer lol

I would say try your best to keep it as clean as possible, but if you know your calories are low on a given day, by all means, swing through MickeyD's and tak care of business, or better yet, go to KFC and get a whole rotisserie chicken.

there are a lot of options, but it think you can control the fat to a certain extent

thanks for the input, i guess i may just be paranoid, i was pretty damn fat at one time and do not ever plan to get there again, i have a few friends in the winter months blow up 40 and 50 pounds and look like shit, they do not even look like they work out, but looset it in the summer and jump on stage in look very good, i have always had trouble dropping the fat even with stuff like t3 and pgf2. i guess will put the 32 and 33's away and go look for 34's and 35's tonight. thanks
