Hey bros. I didn't see a Nutrition Forum in here. maybe I'm jus blind. I've got a questin though about TV dinners that maybe you guys can help me on.

I've been eating those Hungry Man XXL and Healthy Choice, etc. dinners. Are they really that unhealthy? Here are some specs on a typical Hungry Man XXL dinner:

Calories: 1140 (410 from fat)
Total fat: 46g
Saturated fat: 17g
Cholesterol: 190mg
Sodium: 2940mg
Total Carbs: 127g
Protein: 55g

The Sodium is crazy high, as is the fat. Am I screwing myself up by making these easy dinners everyday? BTW, I'm bulking, not cutting. Thanks bros.

They're not that good for you, they have high fat & high carbs, if you are bulking they should be ok eating them a few times a week, just not every day. Try not to eat high carbs and high fat in one meal.

Obiviously you would be better off making a home cooked meal, veggies, and grilled lean meat.

Damn, I bet that is about the same as fast food. I'm guessing it works out about the same as a double quarter pounder and fries at mcd's.

I live on Hungry-man dinners. part of the wonderful world of being single. Since I'm close to giving up on getting back with the ex, I'll get my own place soon, and be in a better position to cook my own meals again. looking forward to that at least.

Try not to eat high carbs and high fat in one meal. The best single piece of diet advise that exists!

I'd probably go nuts if I couldn't cook my own food. Maybe I'd just live on shakes, protein bars and tuna, but that gets expensive. That's what I do on vacation, though. The last vacation we bought a george foreman grill, though, which made things easier.

the place I'm going has 3 meals a day included (I think I can fit 2 dinners in :D), so it will be the closest thing to home cooked meals I've had in a year. used to always have nice meals but not since being single again. I think I'll take my whey along so I can have my shakes. Gotta have my protein! :D

The main thing w/any instant food is the sodium level, you might as well go and eat some country ham. YOu will get about the same amt of sodium...

You guys are all right. I try to look into other brands that have lower sodium content, lower fat, and lower carbs. Not that I ALWAYS trust Healthy Choice, but they have some very great dinners as well, just not as big as the Hungry Man dinners. I'm just a lonely bachelor with not a lot of time on my hands to cook. Maybe I should make time. Thanks bros!
