i was thinking of triing insulin,but i got a question about when i'm done with the stuff once and for all,will i turn diabetic or something?

do more research and as long as you dont run obnoxious amts and for longs times no you will not be diabetic!

ya man, do your research... start low and work your way up, and don't stay and the shit for extended periods of time. start at like 2 units post workout and slowly work from there. make sure ya get humalog. it's the fastest acting shit you can get... and make sure ya have plenty of carbs on hand. when my blood sugar gets really low i hit the orange juice. just play it safe bro

Starting at to units won't do anything for you except lower your blood sugar. Humalog is just way to fast to predict what might actually happen, cause if something does go wrong you have a short period of time to fix it. Go with humuli-R and start at 10iu's. But I gather from your posts that you need alot more research on this and need to be careful.

i have no intention of doing it till i'm well versed on the pro/cons of insulin.the problem i'm having is finding research that answers my personal questions.i have a good idea of what kind,how much,sugar up/downs,but what about when i'm done playing the game.will my body go back to normal?will i have side affects?
this sounds funny but i have a five year plan in this bb.i don't do this to be in good shape,i do it to be freaky large and for comp.resons.unfortunetly i got started at this game late in life.i plan on quite bb hardcore when i'm around 35.after that i will only be natural.
so you see,i gota get GIANT in the next couple years.insulin might make that happen next winter or so.i love to read, if some one can send me to some good reading on the insulin subject i'd appreaciate it.

you dont wanna start at 10 units post workout gradually work your way up from 2 units so you know how your body will respond

I started at 5 units and worked my way up one more unit ed until I got to ten. But, now I am thinking, do it completely right. Don't guess. Notacow posted some very good info on how to measure your sugar while doing insulin. The stuff to do it is very cheap and available at wal mart. Then you will know EXACTLY what is going on with your blood sugar.

And woody01, do a search on hostile/insulin. I asked a ton of questions about slin before starting and the bro's helped me out. One of those threads is also where notacow explains how to measure glucose levels while using insulin.

And one more thing. You said in your last response that you are having a hard time getting your personal questions answered from searching. WELL, JUST ASK THEM ON THIS THREAD. I promise you, people are craving info on slin. Just look at all the views on any thread about slin.

I disagree. I think Log is the way to go. It's in and out of your system quickly- like 2 hours. Start low (2 ius is a good idea). Use it post workout only at first. You do have a carb/protein shake already? Have a friend hang with you for a couple of hours. Also have some glucose tabs or some skittles handy. Familarize yourself with the symptons for low sugar. You still have time to respond and your sugar levels will rise quickly.

The other reason I like Log over R is the "getting fat" issue. It's important NOT to eat fat while the slin is active! Fat is going to be stored as fat at this time. I believe fat is necessary when bulking to get your total calorie intake high. The reason most people end up using R is availability. R is over the counter, Log requires a script in the US.

Any given person can easily start and handle 10 units safely. There is no reason to start at 2! Think about it, if you use insulin in 2iu incriments to drop your blood sugar to pup you into ketosis why would you then use the same amount to try and flood your system with carbs and nutrients. If the saying is true that you use roughly 10-15 grams of carbs per iu of slin. Then your only getting 20-30 grams of carbs and supplements shuttled into the system. Why bother?

Armageddon, I have to admit the first time I used slin I used 10ius. But I still believe it's better to error on the conservative side when it comes to slin use.

I still have the same question as before.what happends to the body when you quit once and forall.any side affects.what i think is insulin is to knew for anybody to answer the what if questions.i know it's been around for a long time,but only recently has it become popular for bb

slin has been "popular" for several years now, you may have just started hearing because your interested. I used for the first time over 2 years ago. I'm still standing if that gives you any satisfaction about side effects. As far as anyone knows there are no long term effects of slin. I know a mod at another place that has been using alot of it on and off for 3 years. Anyone would kill for his physique.
