i got ratted on lastweek by a close family member, and the cops paid a little visit to my house. Anyways to make a long story short they basically seized 5 bottles of test, and a couple bottles of eq. I didnt get arrested though, and believe it or not they didnt search my vehicle, which i had managed to stash a few extra's acouple days before. So basically im waiting for the cops to send the seized gear into a lab to have it tested. Then they will probally go about charging me with whatever fuckedup shit they can. I dont currently have a record so im hoping ill just have to pay a fine, and maybe do some community service or something. Anyways if anyone has had similar shit happen to them, could they please PM me so we could talk privately. thx

damn that's fucked up. Why would a relative do that. Do they know the legal troubles this can get you. That is just wrong.

well my parents ratted me out pretty good, and this was after i came clean about my aas use with them. Why they did it i have no fucking clue. they told me it was for my own benefit lol!!!

Do you pay them any rent? was it in your room
IF so the search is no good..

Then then your parents have no right to tell them to search that part of the house.. That room and everything in it is under your control and no one elses.. Peroid.. Your parents and you entered into a binding renter/rentee relationship.. Which means that they no longer have the authority to allow searches of the rented room..

It's the same as an apartment complex alowing the cops the right to search your apt.. Although I'm sure that your agreement was a verbal one.. It's still
binding.

Damn and I thought my worthless father was no good for just not being there..
I'm now thinking.. I'm glad he wasn't

This is exactly what I was about to write. As long as you pay some kind of rent or provide some sort of consideration in return for permission to live there, your room is your domain under the lessor/lessee relationship and without a warrant to search your room specifically OR your express consent, they cannot search it. Your parents cannot consent to a search of what is essentially your property. This seems like a clear case of illegal search and seizure, although I'll ask my crim law prof and make sure.
