Suspending letrozole

cooter

Any of you home chemists have any experience creating an oral form of letrozole from powder.

I was just woundering how much BA was needed, if 5% was still the standard or if you use more or less.
Also is it necessary to use oil or can water be used?

I read the Post on the conversion from powder to Oral on Basskiller's page but it mentions the use of oil, thus this question comes to mind. After all water is so cheap.

Thanks for your help

No BA?

Thanks for the info, Deca.
If BA is not used what keeps the powder from collecting at the bottom? Any Ideas?

all suspensions will eventually collect on the bottom. This is not a problem, providing that your powder is well ground (ie relatively small pieces, and uniform size). All you have to do give it a good shake, and it will resuspend. Also, you can fully dissolve letrozole in alcohol, so you wouldn't have to worry about shaking it before every use. It's soluble in ethanol, if I recall correctly, but other types will probably work as well.

Ethyl Alcohol it isnt going to taste the best probably unless you know what you are doing but heat it up with the EA then add some more solution to make it taste better!

Good point about the taste gearedup, but we do strange things in search of hugeness... but yeah, try diluting it.

Are you trying to make liquid letro like liquidex? if so letro is not soluble in water or BA it will recrystalize as soon as it cools, Tolulene is the only other thing it's highly soluble in but it's poison so I would not rcomend it. When I made mine I dissolved 1 gram letro in 400ml everclear which is undenatured ethanol which letro is slighlty soluble in. You have to heat it very slowly in hot water to get it to dissolve also the ethanol expands with heat so make sure toleave the cap off the bottle of everclear. 1ml will give a dose of 2.5mg. That was 2 months ago and it's still in solution and works great just store out of sunlight.:D

I just wanted to add that "cooter" is a kick ass name, and I don't mean in the Dukes of Hazzard sense either.....

So I guess Ethanol isn't toxic when ingested. What would happen if you added some distilled water to the mix to dilute the solution?
Does Ethanol mix with water?
Does the Powder fall out of suspension?

Ethyl alcohol! Every solution does fall outr some eventually and should be shaken up! Clen is easy soluble as well as liquidex, letrozole and Cytomel and viagra are not as easy! Cialis is not that hard...

ethyl alchol is the alcohol in your beer bro, it mixes with water, but letrozole is NOT sol in water at all, so i wouldnt use water to dilute, why would you wanna dilute it anyway?

Hi
I know this is an older thread but has some great info. You can add some "Tang" to it to make it taste better. We used to drink Tang with grain alcohol back when I was a pup.
