Hardly a Newbie
Well today was leg day. I got 375x5 it felt real light. I cracked a vetbra in aug. So im glad that my legs are finally getting stronger.

Now if I only could get my bench to go up.

Keep at it FBC, you'll get there. Just be glad you don't have my bench max. :D

Well each week right now i lower my reps, and work to a bigger 2 rep max. After flat bench i either do decline or incline 3x8. And some db flys. I havent hit my chest hard with dbells for a long time.

This week it was 185x8, 225x5, 245x3, then i did a negative with 285, then 265 twice. Then decline with 185x8, 225x8, 225x8, and 3 sets of 10 with 30lb dbell for flys

try upping the sets of declines to 5 and adding inclines using dumbells.
Good luck, and get strong as hell for next season!

I never do declines, only the wide grip hammer strength - if you have one of these in your gym it's the best for squeezing the shit out of your lower pecs. FYI, I'll usually start with a mass builder like flat bench - 135x10, 225x10, 275x10, 315x8, 295x10. Then move to incline dumbells - 90x10, 100x10, 110x10, 120x7. I'll end with 3 to 4 sets a piece of the pec deck and either low or high cable crossovers. My chest is genetically small in proportion to the rest of my body so I really have to concentrate on what I'm working so my shoulders don't overpower...
