How much did you weigh per inch before beginning your contest diet? I've heard anywhere from 3.5 to 4 lbs per inch is good. Also if you could state your height and weight at contest date I'd appreciate that as well. Thanks- LA

I'm not so sure weight per inch is a good "yardstick"-hell-for my first show I was a 264 lb fat ass and by your "weight per inch" standard I was 3.47-I competed at 204 and I can tell you cutting 60 lbs is NOT the way to get into "contest shape"-IMO-I think bf% has more to do with getting onstage-also by your method for a guy 5'8" a "good" starting weight is 238-272-I think thats too much unless its at a bf% under 15%-and then WOW-that is one large competitor-5'8"-220-240 @ 5%!!!

RippedChef- yeah I forgot to state that the 3.5 to 4 lbs assumed a BF% of no more than 12-13%. I got this from someone on another board who trains national competitors. I wanted to verify his numbers and also see how people who are on the local level compare.

Dude if you go per inch, then someone is 3.5 to 4 inches per pound you are looking at some huge fuckers for example lets say 5'6" that is 66 in well someone coming in at 225 3% or is only gonna be 3.4 in/lb...lets take presser for example when he was in comp shape he was only 3.1 in/lb and believe me presser looked frigging huge, I would say in the 2.5 to 3.5 would be avg for no pros...hell I will do ronnie right now...he comes in at 245lb and 5'11" so that is 3.45 in/lb and this is mr. o we are talking bout...so believe what you want!

midwtchamp- I think you misunderstood me. The 3.5 - 4 was before a contest diet, not after. Using Presser as an example he started at 3.4 lbs per inch before the diet and came in at 3.1. BTW- thanks presser that was exactly the information I was looking for!

I wasnt flaming you bro, but even 3.5-4 precontest is huge...take mr. coleman for example he a 4.1 precontest and that is saying he weighs 300lbs in the off season....I personally think anyone 3 or above is gonna be a big mofo...
