l-carnitine question

Do any of you take l-cartnitine as a supplement? It's in alot of supplements these days. I have never intentionally taken it before but found some for cheap and bought it.

It suppossedly transfers long-chain fatty acids, such as triglycerides into mitochondria where they may be oxidized to produce energy and also suppossedly promotes growth and development. It is also used for fat-burning, increasing energy, and improving resistance to muscle fatigue. As a speculated muscle disease, liver disease, and kidney disease fighter, L-carnitine has also been shown to help build muscle and treat some forms of cardiovascular disease. It is also great in dieting, as it reduces feelings of hunger and weakness.

Everything I read online says to take 2-4g orally before a workout, but I have a veterinary injectable form. I have a couple of bottles of 200mg/ml l-carnitine in 100ml bottles. Does anyone know what dose to take? It appears to be water based so I can shoot it either sub q or intramuscular; does anyone know which would be better?

Thanks,,,,bigjosh
