I woke up today and let my dog out to go to bathroom,and she wondered off into road and was killed by a car.My 2 little girls cried all day. I was fine until i had to put her in her grave i dug. I couldnt eat all day. Wierd how we become so atached to a dog. Sorry guys, i just had to vent. Anyways, time for bed.

Bro I am so sorry for your loss. I have a 3 yr old Goldeb retriever who is my best friend. I do not know what I would do if he got sick or died. My wife tells me that if I could love her as much as my dog we will be fine.

You should never feel weird about being so attached to an animal, especially one with the capacity to love such as a dog. We could all take some lessons on how to live our lives from our pets. I have a 6 yr old akita and to be honest, I've never had a closer friend. What other friend have you ever had that gives you such a warm greeting even if you've been gone for only a few minutes? My sincerest condolences to you for your loss....

So sorry Pigmeat, I've cried every time I burried one of my dogs. Everybody loves their pets. How can you not when they show such an unconditional love for us?

I know the feeling. I have a Black Lab that is 12-years old now. I've had him since he was a puppy. I have to deal with the fact that he dosen't have a lot longer and I've been preparing my 10-year old son for the inevitable also. But loosing a dog suddenly like that really sucks.
I also know from experience that getting another one will help with the girls. They (and you) will never forget, but a new puppy will always put a smile on their faces.

thanks bros. It makes something like this easier knowing i got good people like you to talk to. Thanks for all the kind words. It was one of the hardest things i ever did, to come in and tell my little girls the bad news. I think i will try and find them a new puppy this week, hopefuly that will cheer them(and me) up.
