Alright well it is off season as most of you know...and I have put on like 30 lbs or so, and I am looking at another 15 or so. The problem is I have also put on a lot of fat...well on this next little bulking session should I cut my cals a bit or just keep eating like I am and say the hell w/the fat!!! What do you guy suggest?!

ill tell you from expirience that you should try to keep a strong hold on your diet all year around. im not saying that you should eat like a bird all of the time, but be concious of your food intake. if your are eating clean, for the most part, all year around, than when it comes time to diet, it will be easier to drop the weight, mentally and physically.

Gotta agree with the stump man on this one. My diet's gone to shit now and I can't imagine life without ice cream and frozen pizzas to say nothing of my late night rendez-vous with the Wendy's drive-through for cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches and frosties....we also have a local dive most call the "T-room" where one can order cheese westerns (cheeseburger with egg) and some really kick ass, albeit greasy, chili to wash it down. Man, I'll never compete at this rate.....aw Christ, may as well go get some food right now

I don't know what's best to do, but for me, I can't see putting on weight if it is fat. Just has to come off later. In order to gain weight it seems like there is always some fat that comes with it, but I try to keep it within reason. I plan to drop as much of the fat as I can reasonably before the next cycle so that I don't have to sweat putting a little more on. I don't want to go in with too much fat and end up having to lose a whole lot when I come off. I feel like I would chance losing too much muscle that way.

well I for one think you need to eat big to get big! and eating big doestn always mean eating clean... just keep pounding away! LOL the fat will come off! YOu need to find the line bewteen bulk bb and bulk for fatass! me im bulk fatass! thats why i diet for 6 months at a wack

I am in the same boat. I havent competed since june 2000. I have leaned up in the summers. I feel fat but I also feel like i have made some major improvements. My strenght has hit alltime highs but the mirror makes me feel bad sometimes. I do cardio at least 6 times a week @ 30 to 45 min to try to control my weight (fat). I eat clean 85% of the time but my body type requires very strict diet and cardio to get lean and with that my strenght drops dramatically which is not good for making gains in mass. I have tried to stay lean after contests and soon as i eat one bad thing i go strainght back to fatass.

I am going to eat clean 95% of the time for the new year.
I eat 8 times a day so that give me about 3 bad meals.
Eat out FRI and SAT and SUN dinner with family and those meals will be steaks, chicken, baked potatoes, mac and cheese, and other good fattening foods. NO SWEETS

See now I am one of those lucky freaks that can drop bodyfat like a bad habit, so when it comes to dieting I have no problem to getting lean. My prob is putting on the weight and man have I put it on (which is good)! Hell I think I will stay on my IC diet for the next 13-14 weeks! I SEE I AM GONNA EAT IT!
