I think it's creatinine... Mine was a little high, and my B U N (blood urea nitrogen) levels were high (37). The doc told me to lay off the creatine as well, and I did some research... The BUN levels are directly proportional to protein intake. I'd imagine the creatinine is too. Both are indicators of kidney function. I've started taking cranberry extract, and upped my water intake (I hadn't drank much the morning I had my blood tests done). I'm getting re-tested in 2 weeks - hopefully my levels are more in line, if not, I'm sure it's the high protein.

creatine levels WILL be up when you take creatine as a supplement. How high did the doc say your's were? You might just be marginally high and just need to up your water intake. Or, if you're way high, you may have some other kind of kidney issue. In any case, keep us posted and by all means follow the docs instructions.

Yes, your creatinine levels will be high while using creatine.

Thing is, the doctor ought to know with all of the people using creatine these days and all of the exposure in the media, that this is not uncommon. Those high creatinine levels mean NOTHING negative in reference to taking the creatine.

Tell the doctor that dumbassed doctor that he should have known this. *sigh*
