Any one have more info on Nobolethone made by Wyeth? This is the steroid that the U.S. cyclist Tammy Thomas is accused of using. It is claimed to have 3 times the anabolic activity of Test prop and only 15% of it's androgenic property; it is 4 times more active than winstrol. MD has an article on it in their Feb 2003 issue.

I checked with one source who did not have any info on it. I asked ** about norbolethone and this is what he said : "noone heard of this steroid so noone will buy it fromme so will not be produced."

Unfortunately the drug was never manufactured commercially. I believe it was due to toxicity issues if I remember right. It should be available for research and the like, as most drugs seem to be, but sources don't stock it. Norbolethone was studied quite extensively back in the late 60's and early 70's, and you are right buffedude, it is extremely anabolic. Actually getting hold of it unless you are a large research facility will be next to impossible though. Maybe an underground lab will start making it with the recent hype.

Thanks for your input drab4. You're right: Wyeth did produce norbolethone but not commrecially. The reason for it not not being marketed is unclear, but not likely due its toxicity. It has actually been shown to oppose the toxic effects of many compounds/drugs: carbon tetrachloride , indomethacin, ethylene glycol, LSD, allopurinol, bishydroxycoumarin, phenyl isothiocyanate, haloperidol, proscillaridin, methylsalicylate, acrylonitrile, methaqualone, thioacetamide, digitoxin, aniline, cocaine, ketamine, parthion, and pesticides. It has very low androgenic properties and hence low incidence of androgenic side effects. It's sited side effects have been dysfuntional uterine bleeding in women (no suprise form such a highly anabolic steroid) and "liver damage" (not more than dianabol). It showed to be very promising in children with stunted growth, but growth hormone has replaced it. The fact that Norbolethone was never marketed has perhaps more to do with politics than side effects.
