i feel like i'm all alone on this one. i've noticed i've had to take higher amounts of insulin while on juice...which was expected. does juice speed up the sides effects that diabetics face (poor circulation, vision damage...) if anyone knows anything about this...give me a shout...any info would be much appreciated

gear alone will increase your glycogen levels which you want to avoid at all costs, considering that you are a type I diabetic. along with consulting a physician who is willing to accept the fact that you are going to use aas, you need to focus on a number of variables that can effect your condition. here are some but not all of the issues that you should pay special attention to:
1. diet. your diet can make or break you. while on the sauce you need to be extra cautious of not taking in excess carbohydrates since the gear will make your body more insulin resistant than it already is.
2. cardio. if you are keeping a stronghold on your diet, be sure that you don't over train in the cardiovascular area. doing high intensity aerobics can quickly deplete your muscle glycogen storage. keep a sport beverage nearby.
3. re:2 if you are going to train aerobically, try and do it post breakfast and pre strength/body building type training. this will assure you that your body is fully nourished and you will not risk entering a hypoglycemic state which can result in a diebetic coma.
4. again. find a physician who is willing to accomodate your situation. do not lie to him about using gear, it will only increase your risks of potentially harmful reactions to your conditions.
5. considering all of your variables, train hard and get huge cuz.

One of my best friends is diabetic, and before I knew anything about the effects of insulin on the body while weight training I would marvel at how quickly he made gains......wish he was still in my area, 'lil fucker moved out to Colorado - I could've gotten in on his script for insulin and not had to worry about buying from our local CVS

AL, i think one of the main reasons why your using much more slin is the fact that you've gained so much weight so far already. If i was you i would try to lower the carbs some, and try for lower glycemic carbs. anyways hit me up with a call in the next couple days, i got some stuff for ya

Can you tell if you are diabetic by simply taking blood test with those little monitors and pricking yourself. The reason I ask is about 3 months ago I had a doctor tell me he thought I was either Type 1 diabetic or borderline Type 1 diabetic. He wanted to do some more test. I had just gotten laid off and did not have my insurance anymore, so I told him no becuase I did not want to pay for it. I figured if I had it this long I would be fine. It could explain why I have always had such a hard time gaining weight. I have always been thin and stay under 9 percent bodyfat with no cardio ever. I thought people with diabetes were overweight, but the more I read on type 1, you can be underweight. If I was type one, wouldnt I have had more problems by now. Maybe I should go fork over the money and get the test. Could I just go get the stuff at a drug store and test myself.

ya dude, if i were you i'd get to your local drugstore and test yourself just for piece of mind. if your doctor said you were borderline 3 months ago...then there's a chance you could be a full blown type 1 by now. the reason why it's so easy for you to stay lean is because you are pissing out all the carbs you are eating. before i was diagnosed i lost 35 lbs and was drinking a ton of water and pissing a lot and sleeping a lot. and if you're not gaining any muscle now and want some...it'd benefit yourself to get on insulin if you are a true type1. diabetics can be fat if you still eat junk food. but it's been easier for me to grow muscle since i've been diagnosed. i dunno bro...it's nothing really to mess around with, i'd get myself checked and possibly see a doctor. good luck

If I take one of the home test things, do I have to not eat all night and then do it in the morning. What should my levels be at. About a month ago a friend of mine tested me and said I was crazy for not seeing the doc and he said my numbers were off. I am going to go get one and test myself. I never knew it was really that big of a deal, but in the last few weeks I have been reading up on it and it can be real dangerous. I have all the symptoms too. I have to get up and piss 2 or 3 times every night. That is what made the doctor start looking at it in the first place. When I got out of highschool @ 18 I weighed 140. By the time I was 24 I weighed 165. Then within 6 months I dropped to 135. It was hell gaining weight. I just hate going to the doc with no insurance. It cost too much. My new job does not give insurance for 90 days and I am not there yet. Do you know of any sites I can get on and read up on how to check myself and then if I am what dosages of insulin to use. I wont use until the doc tells me how much, but I would like to learn. Thanks for the help.

ya, you could check it in the morning or you could check it two hours after you eat a meal. the normal range for blood sugars are 75-125. if your blood sugar levels are above that level after two hours then i'd definately seek help. when i was diagnosed my sugar was up to 500. my doctor got me on insulin and the next day a nurse came out to my house to kinda talk me through my first day and do my first injections and all that jazz. but, i wouldn't put that shit off dude, you may not feel it now, but down the road you may get some horrible side effects like losing limbs and losing vision. shit, i've had it since i was 13, and i'm now 20 and i'm losing feeling in my little toe. mostly due to the face that i've been drinking really heavy for the two years. well, got any other questions and i'll try and give you a hand.... just hit up a search in yahoo for diabetes and you should get some good sites... good luck

hey bigshug, you can get slin otc at any pharmacy, not script needed. well in some states anyway.

also if one is concerned if they might be diabetic there are some key symptoms to be concerned about.

They go by the 3 P's, which are:

1. Polyurea: frequent urination.

2. Polydipsia: always thirsty.

3. Polyphagia: always hungry.

if you have these symptoms it would be wise to get some blood work done.

I just got one of those monitors today. I checked two hours after eating and it was 186. Is that bad. I am going to check in the morning.

insulinAL

186 is not normal... normal range is 75-125. your pancreas is in what they call the honeymooner stage where it still produces some insulin, but not the sufficient amount to cover meals. i would try and see a doc asap. keep us posted bud

I am really confused now. I did a test this morning after fasting and it was 31. This is really low isnt it. What the heck is wrong with me. Can your blood sugar go real low, then high.

hhmmm...that's some goofy shit. i really don't know what's going on inside you. your pancreas might not realize that you ate, then when it finally does realize that you ate you have an over abundance of glucose in your system and it produces too much??? i wish i was a doctor, but i'm not... you should get it checked out asap... i really don't know what else to tell ya.....
