ive been trying to stay up wiht my diet i try to eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours and ive been taking a wieght gainer shake but sumtiems i can get a lil busy on the weekends and dont have time to prepare a meal , can the weight gainer shake count as a meal or what can i do???any suggestions? :confused:

Yes, a shake does count as a meal. Meal simply means taking in calories and protein every 2 hours. If you're really having alot of trouble gaining weight it's important that you not skip meals. How old are you and what's your activity level? If you're still in your teen years and active in sports or something besides bodybuilding you'll need to be taking in ALOT of calories. Possibly as much as 4000-5000 per day depending on your current height and weight.

im 5"10 and 150 i just started experimenting with high calorie diets and stuff like that for a cuple of months and i been trying to keep it up just that with school and going out on the weekends i sometimes find it hard to prepare a meal ......but now ill just use the shake.thanks

If you're going out on the weekends do what I do whenever I'm going to be away from home for more than a few hours, pack a lunch. If the people that you're with are bodybuilders they'll totally understand. If they're not, explain to them what your goals are and that you need to eat every few hours. Eventually they'll get used to it and you won't even think about going somewhere without your cooler or lunch box. This way you won't miss meals and you won't be forced to substitute unhealthy junk food or fast food instead.

I had the same problem when I was younger. I was at the exact sem point you were too. You think you are eating enough but you aren't. Keep up what you are doing. Eating every 2-3 hours. Make sure they are quality meals too. Just try and stay focused on the weekend. I used to make progress during the week and then mess up and the weekend and it flet like I was starting over every monday.
