what car would you want under $40k?

It's sunday afternoon, nasty outside and I'm bored.

If you could buy any new car under $40k, what would you get and why? Any car coming out in the next 6 months is fair game. Hopefully US market cars.

For me it would be a Mustang Cobra. I have a 2002 Mustang GT and love it. The Cobra is under 40g's and with the supercharger, it's pretty hot. I guess they are comming out with a Mach1 this year too. (by the way, my birthday is comming up at the end of April... hint, hint)

Well I bought a 2001 Ford F-150 Lightning about a year and a half ago, if I was going to get another new one, that is what I would want, I've loved it.

My friend just bought a nissan 350z, and said it really isn't that special. I'd wanted a infinity g35 coupe (2+2 version of the 350z), but after his review I don't really want one anymore.

Right now, I think I'd really like the new Subaru WRX Sti.

Since iam moving to Fla i would like to get a fully loaded
wrangler.4.0 liter 5spd ac hard and soft top.
The new rubicon looks awesome...

if it was going to be a car, I would wait for the 2005 Mustang, they have changed it appearance and gave it some of its old charateristics back. We're talking 1967 shelby gt 500 style. Saw it on HotRod TV, very very nice.

57 Chevy Bel-Aire-candy apple red,crager rims,chromed out engine-few bells and whistles under the hood otherwise stock-someday when the kids are grown......oops-just saw the word "NEW" in Als post-in that case Toyota Avalon

I think new Audi S4 is like $40k or less..and Lexus can be bought for $38k to $40k 1999-2001
