Does anyone actually know anyone who has made themselves diabetic from using insulin?

My biggest fear of trying insulin is becomming diabetic. I have heard people say it can happen, but have never actually heard an actual account of this. If anyone knows any let me know. And I don't wanna hear anything about going hypo,,,it's becomming diabetic that I'm worried about....

I used to be just as afraid of t3, and messing up my thyroid w/ it, but have never actually spoken to anyone who has ever developed a problem from using it. All I hear is vague hearsay and the same goes for insulin... Anyways so after using t3 many times t3 really does not seem too risky to me...

Now not hearing these actual acounts does not mean that it isn't a big risk... IMO in all likelihood people who develope serious health problems from supplementation in whatever form probably cease to visit the boards as often and cut that element out of their life and thus we do not hear too much about it... But I do still believe that alot of things are overrated such as the toxicity of orals and the risk of t3... but that is just my personal opinion which may be incorrect..

So if anyone knows anyone who has become diabetic from insulin supplementation please point me to one of their posts or tell me about it. I'm trying to gather all I can do determine if insulin supplemenatation is a risk I wish to take.

Kinda late now since i already bought some humulin r... but I can sit and ponder it for a bit i suppose...

This has been a pretty hot topic around here lately.If you use the search engine you'll find several good threads on insulin and the proper way to use it.I just got mine and tried 2iu post workout today.I can tell my blood sugar is being played with but no ill effects.I don't blame you a bit for wanting to know about the possibility of getting diabetes.Hopefully someone that's been in this game for quite awhile can share a bad story.As risky as it is there has to be some.

Yea I know of all the posts on insulin... I've read hours and hours of info on insulin on various boards and web pages for years and esp the past few months...

I have a pretty good idea of how to cycle it, or how I have decided to cycle it based on talking to people and reading things...

I just wanna hear some stories of people going diabetic so that I can make a more sounds decision with regards to weather or not to take the risk I am presently dying to take....

Your biggest fear is becoming diabetic?? I would think it would of ending up DEAD!! Slin is some dangerous shit even for those who have experience...

YES, my biggest fear is becomming diabetic because going hypo is something i have control over, becomming diabetic is not! You can control going hypo and I have excellent control over my diet and know that if anything i will eat too many carbs/sugars and end up fat,,,lol I have serious respect for slin as everyone should, but my fear about weather to use it or not relies on my likelihood to end up diabetic not going hypo!

I hear ya! I really don't know much about slin, however I would say becoming diabetic is like getting gyno. You won't know until it happens. Maybe if your there is a history of diabetics in your family? Your chances will increase?
