Anybody know how to burn ps2 games? I went to a few sites, and can't make heads or tails out of the info they have.

I got an email about this software that supposedly can burn dvd, ps2, and dreamcast games to a cdr, it is $39.99, I'm thinking of trying it unless anyone can point me in the direction of a free version.

It sounds like a scam, if I am not mistaking PS2 games are made on DVD's. So I think it would be impossble to fit a game on a cd-r. But who knows

Well my old roomate is a computr genius and we had about every dreamcast game ever made and never paid for it. Playstation games can also be done, easily. The thing with ps2 is the same as ps1, you need a chip and have to put it into the ps2. Simple procedure, really is. Where working on finding a place to find the chip. An old website for a company out of Austria sold the chip for the ps1, still searching for the one for the ps2. Once I find it I'll let people know. I already have new movies out. We have lord of te rings 2, catch me if you can, daredevil, 25th hour, 8mile and some others. Did I say he was a computer genius!

its easy to burn ps2 games, takes work thought,

there is something called iso'z if u got on irc warez rooms, lots of people share those, got to find good rooms, those are actual ps2 games, movies and other bs taken out so u can fit it on regular cdr. But u do need to get a modchip, just search for it on yahoo.

They do exhist for ps2, and are very inexpensive.

They said it only will copy ps2 games which say on the back cd rom, not dvd rom, which still is a majority of the games, and you don't need a mod chip with their software.

Everything I had read before, says you need a mod chip, or you have to fix your drive door to open without it checking for a new disk.

u need a mod chip bro, that software is bs, trust me i got friends who do this shit, they told me mod chip is actually a relay some sort it trick the cpu on the ps2 to think its original cd.

I've modded a ps1, and burned games for it. I'd assume modding a ps2 is similar, basically solder in a chip that fools the system into thinking that it is an original game (the original games have some sort of code or something in a normally non-writable portion of the disc that identifies them as original).

Yes you can burn ps2 games and Xbox games. Just go to Ask jeeves and type in ps2 mod chip and you will find a ton of sources. You need to have a chip because the chip reverses the way the optical lens processes the data from the disk. It is a little more complicated to do then the ps1. The dream cast doesn't even need a chip you can just burn the games. The ps2 games are on DVD discs so you would need a DVD Writer "burner" to burn the games. You can download the games from Kazaa or Limewire. If you put the chip in the ps2 then you can also play dvdr's burned dvd's so if you want to watch a movie that has been burned you can do that too. You have to be careful because some companies sell the chips for a lot of money and they don't work or you can fuck up your motherboard by burning it if you don't know how to use a solder iron correctly. Read up on it... It doesn't take a genius to do it. Knowledge and research. Modchip.com I believe is a good source. The Xbox is supposed to be very easy to do like 4 wires only where the ps2 is like 18 wires. You can also download an emulator and play the games on your pc. I have all the nintendo games and they fit on 1 cd! PM me if you have any questions. Good luck.

http://www.extreme-mods.com/ is a great place to get PS2 and Xbox Mod chips. You will need a DVD burner for most PS2 games and all XBox games. That program is a scam IMO. To copy PS2 games there is many ways to do it. Most popular is CloneCD. To copy xbox games is kinda a pain. To copy DVD movies DVD2One is a great program. Still need a DVD burner! Or you can talk to someone with a DVD burner to do the dirty work. :Cough: Me :Cough:
