I did a calf workout last Thursday that nearly crippled me. Friday was okay, but Saturday morning when I rolled out of bed I almost fell down. Walking was extremely painful. Sunday was worse!!!

anybody else ever experience that?
 
I work out my chest on Monday, it doesn't get sore until Wed. and is still sometimes sore on Thur.
 
That's great! What did you do different, since it you obviously really worked the muscles? I can do that by switching things up a bit, usually by going really slow, or really heavy, or lighter and more reps - the key is something different (for me).
 
i never work my calfs out, but i get them cramps in them, when im asleep. And it hurts for about 2 days. I dont play any ball at all durning that time.
 
My soreness is usually always delayed like that too. Not the day after a workout, but two days after I'm sore as hell.
 
I just trashed my legs on the hack squat machine.....NOT looking forward to the cramping that will follow in a few hours
 
I always have a two delay between the actual workout and the pain.

all i did was 6 sets of calf raises; 3 sitting and 3 standing

each set of the sitting raises were very slow and 20 reps
each of the standing were very slow and 20, 25, 30 rep respectively

going slow and high rep was they key
 
Just finished hams and quads about 1/ 1/2 hrs ago. I drive to work and already can barely get out of the car. I drive a stick and my left leg is shaking like crazy! Gotta love it!
