I had 6 beers and a mixed drink the other night, I was given a random at 4 the next afternoon. Anybody know if this will show up, im only 20 so I shouldnt have alchol in my system.

I believe that every hour 1 alcoholic drink will leave your system. Ask them next time what they're screening for and see if you can find out what machine they use. Most don't test for alcohol, it's tough to pick up.

I do not know what yor background is however employers and the military test for illegal substances not alcohol.

Im on prohibation for juice, so its a Nj prohibation test. BUMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Gotcha- in that case Scorpio is correct, depending on your size your body will metabolize .75-1.00 oz of alcohol per hour.

Here is a simple solution. I'm sure that they asked you if you are on any medications. If they do detect, and I'm fairly sure they won't. Tell them you've had a cough and took a cough med right before coming in. Look at the over the counters and find one with alcohol, use that brand, but make sure it has alcohol. The tests I've seen, they test against another positive, that positive is usually high, so they will get a good positive reading. So, in my opinion, you will test negative. If they ask if why you didn't tell about the cough med before, tell them you thought that they were talking about presciption meds and you were nervous. Good luck.

That sounds solid...all though I think you'll be alright, don't sweat it now, just make some better decisions in the future.

I know bro, I never even tryred any party drugs, I just had a few beers after a 13 hr work day. Im hopeing they dont try try to bust my balls like im some crack head off the streets. Thanks a lot guys. " Scorpio im on my way to the pharmacy now" lol

Hey I hope it helps and I hope you don't need it. At least alcohol is a lot easier to explain than say an opiate or THC.

I heard alcohol breaks down into sugar? And thats what they detect? Any one know if this is true?

I assume that they did a urine test correct? It sounds silly but most tests are your speciman, a known negative, and a known positive. A light is shown through each and the metabolities are compared by how much light gets through. The good thing is the known positive is high, so you can in some cases do a little of something and get away, not that you should try.
