Guy intentionally od's on dnp

So, I overdosed on DNP...
Last week thursday, I overdosed on Crystal DNP..
I took 600mg with 200mg still in my body. I knew I was overdosing, my reasons for doing so were personal. I am a fairly experienced DNP user. I am posting what an account of what happened afterwards for public interest/information, so I'd appreciate if any posts on this subject were kept to questions about the results of the over-dose rather than any personal questions/attacks.

DNP mentioned will be crystal.

Thursday 9:30pm:
I took 400mg of DNP and 1200 IU's of Vitamin E and went to bed

Thursday 9:40pm:
Took another 200mg tablet and went back to bed

Thursday 11:00pm:
Woke up sweating profousely. Was feeling very very hot, mouth totally dry and breathing hard (typical of being on DNP and having run out of glycogen)

Thursday 11:30pm:
Went to get food, to try to get some carbs back in my body. Got a Soft Taco Supreme with no Cheese and a Regular Sierra Mist. Ate it on the way back.

Thursday 11:40pm:
Vomited out the food completely. Tried to go back to sleep.

Friday 12:30am:
Gave up on sleep and tried to keep myself occupied, drank sips of water.

Friday 2:00am:
Was breathing way too hard and had a sharp pain in my stomach. Went to steak and shake to get something with carbs to drink. Got a regular sprite, drank half of it on the way back.

Friday 2:15am:
Vomitted out all the sprite.

Friday 3:00am:
Called a friend to get me some V8 juice. I was too tired to literally even walk anymore. Breathing really really hard now.

Friday 3:05am:
Friend arrived with the V8 juice. Before drinking, I tried to drink 2 sips of water. Immidiately violently vomitted the water out.

Friday 3:15am:
Checked into the hostpital. They took me to ER.
My Heart rate at rest was 150+ beats per minute
My Breathing was at 50+ breaths per minute
My Temprature was slightly above normal (99.0)
My blood pressure was normal (114/75 or so I think, don't rememebr exactly)

From then on, I don't remember much. I was sedated, put on an IV. I remember keeping on waking up with my tongue so dry that it cracked and bled, so I had to drink water and I'd fall back to sleep.

Next I remember is,

Friday 8:30pm:
Woke up for a little bit, called a friend to tell her that I was okay (I was on the phone with her when I decided I had to go to the hospital). Went back to sleep. Tongue was still very dry.

Saturday 3:00ishpm:
Woke up, tongue was fine now, lips still cracking.

Saturday 6:30pm:
My IV was changed from Glucose to Potassium Chloride (I don't know if it still had any glucose content in it).

I was mostly awake from then on and "normal"ish. Still on an IV.

Sunday 4:30pm:
IV removed, discharged to go home.

Sunday 9:30pm:
Felt an immense food craving. Ate half a pizza and drank some diet coke.

Sunday 11:00pm:
Tried to go to sleep, kept feeling nauseaus. Went and ate again and that took care of the nausea. Couldn't sleep because in a few minutes the nausea started again. Along with the nausea (which was probably because of just having gotten off an IV), I had very bad heartburn (NOTE: I've not had heartburn since ONE time when I was 12). Couldn't sleep till morning. Had to keep drinking/eating something.

was normal most of the day monday.

Tuesday 3:00am: Tried to sleep again. Same problem. Lesser heartburn now though. Drinking a sip of fruitopia every few minutes made it easier. Slept again in the morning.

Wednesday 12:30am: Tried to sleep. Took some Zantac 75 before I slept and had some "fitness water" every half an hour or so for an hour or two. Slept probably at around 2-3am.

Since then I have been pretty normal. I don't know if "everything" was because of DNP, but here it is, my personal experience.

If you have any questions, please ask here and I'll try my best to answer them.

Also, feel free to cross-post this message to any other message boards. I believe this is important information, especially in light of people claiming that DNP really isn't that easy to overdose on and its not 'that' harmful etc.

I also was told by my doctor that my kidney's almost failed because of DNP. He specifically told me that I risk total kidney failuire if I keep on DNP.

Thanks,
-Rahul

Overdose on DNP or Taco Bell? j/k

I'm glad he survived so he could post about it. But i'm wondering why his temperature was only 99.0? I guess body temp isn't as good an indicator as I thought.

Why would someone make a lab rat out of themselves? Let's see, what will today's experiment be? I know, I'll od on DNP and report the results (if I live) to the guys at the board. What a fool.

I wonder if the story is bogus. No one is that stupid, are they?

That is not a good game to play. That is not an easy way to die.

Animal has a theory that your body temp doesn't increase all that much but you get dehydrated. That is why you should drink, drink and drink more water each day on DNP.

what is dnp?

Copied from Anabolic Review

DNP
DNP (2,4-Dinitrophenol)
The substance; 2, 4-Dinitrophenol has many other brand names such as, 1 Hydroxy-2,4-dinitrophenol, Solfo Black, Nitrophen, Aldifen, and Chemox are just a few and is among many things, a metabolic stimulant. That is it's popularity here in our world, it burns fat like no other. Let me just tell you of it's other uses before I continue. First, it is a toxic dye, chemically related to Trinitrophenol (Picric Acid), second, it is found in insecticides, wood preservatives, herbicides, explosives, and is also a hazardous material. Third, it is used in science to couple or attach to DNA molecules. All of this should tell you that it is not a run-of-the-mill metabolic stimulant, like Clenbuterol or Triacana or Ephedrine or any other for that matter. Here is DNP's tox faq's from the international chemical safety cards to you give an idea of what it is considered to be; Combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire. Risk of fire and explosion. DO NOT expose to friction or shock. MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness. Roughness. Yellow staining on the skin. PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE: YELLOW CRYSTALS ROUTES OF EXPOSURE: The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation, through the skin and by ingestion. PHYSICAL DANGERS: Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air. INHALATION RISK: Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly. CHEMICAL DANGERS: May explosively decompose on shock, friction, or concussion. May explode on heating. Shock-sensitive compounds are formed with alkalis, ammonia and most metals. The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic gases including nitrogen oxides. EFFECT OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE: The substance may cause effects on metabolism, resulting in very high body temperature. Exposure may result in death. EFFECTS OF LONG TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE: Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis. The substance may have effects on the peripheral nervous system. The substance may have effects on the eyes, resulting in cataracts. Boiling point: sublimes °C, Melting point: 112°C, Relative density (water = 1): 1.68. Solubility in water, g/100 ml at 54.5°C: 0.14. Relative vapor density (air = 1): 6.36. This product is handled and shipped in a 15% solution of water, making it a paste, so that it will not explode due to shock or friction.

DNP is an uncoupling agent that inhibits the flow of electrons and the pumping of H+ ions for ATP synthesis. Fifty years ago it was used for weight loss, however, in 1938 the FDA removed it from the counter, as it caused cataracts and even sometimes death. If electron transport does not produce ATP, then much more sugar must be metabolized for energy needs. Very low production of ATP would be lethal. In oxidative phosphorylation, the flow of electrons from NADH (the reduced form of NAD+, oxidized from NAD. This enzyme is important in accepting electrons in the course of metabolic reactions. When NAD+ gives up it's electron, it is converted to it's reduced form NADH) and FADH2 (the reduced form of FAD) to oxygen results in the pumping of H+ from the matrix to the inner membrane space of the mitochondria. This gradient of H+ can produce ATP by flowing through ATP synthetase in the mitochondrial inner membrane. Dinitrophenol disrupts the H+ gradient reducing ATP synthesis. Under these conditions, much of the food that we eat could not be used for ATP synthesis and we lose weight. However, too much inhibitor and we could make too little ATP for life. The difference between weight loss and death is only a small concentration change in dinitrophenol, making the drug dangerous. Simply put, this means that while eating your normal diet, you will have somewhere between 20% and 40% reduction of calories.

You may now be wondering just what kind of dose would be effective, but not harmful. A dose of 2mg/kg/day (or two mgs per kg of body weight per day) would be an effective dose, causing the loss of about 5 to 10 pounds in a 10 to 14 day period, maybe less. So, a person weighing 200 lbs would weigh about 91 kgs, so 2mgs per kg of body weight would be the equivalent of 182 mgs of DNP per day, but since it typically comes in 200 mg capsules, you would take one cap per day. Since DNP has this inhibiting effect, glycolosis is inhibited as well, causing a diabetic effect due to the conversion of glucose without insulin, so you may have heard that people take insulin with DNP. This will counter act the symptoms of lethargy and lack of energy due to DNP's use.

DNP (2,4 Dinitrophenol) is the mother of all fat burners, but it can also very dangerous, even kill you. It raises your body tempature, if you take too much it can actually cook your internal organs. Fat loss of 6-12 pounds of fat in 10 days are not uncommon.

I've posted some other info about it in the articles of interest forum.

not right in the head

I just can't understand what personal problems would make this sound like a good idea......this makes me think this is a imbalanced guy that shouldn't be messing with hormones........DNP can be very cool a 400 mg a day but most take 500-700mg a day ......I took 600mg a day for 3 days and desided that I like 400mg a day . It's much safer and less stress on the body .......DNP is not for the novis........and can kill. this guy was lucky....

Serious Shit

That sounds like some serious shit. I don't think I could play with that stuff. How did he get to Taco Bell? I hope he wasn't driving (he probably was fuckin asshole)

Many whakos out there. Apparently, there is a web-site where a bunch of dumbasses get together and see how close they can come to overdosing on various drugs. They chat as they're popping the drugs. Some idiot actually died while online, I saw this on doctor phil (and no, I'm not a regular viewer of dr. Phil).
