Tips For Less Painful Injections

I’ve seen a lot of posts about injections pain & questions, so I put together some tips for injecting to help make it less painful.

* Heat the oil before injection (either in bottle/vial or after loaded in pin, by running it under hot water.)
* Use the proper injection site. See http://www.spotinjections.com
* Rotate injection spots, don't always inject in the same location.
* If you are new to injecting, I recommend doing your injections in the glutes.
* If you have a painful oil to inject (some brands test prop, sust, ect.) you can dilute it with injectable vitamin B-12.
* Ibuprofen 30 minutes – 1 hour before your shot, this can help with painful areas. This is not necessary, it is only a little bit of pain, you don't need pain killers for most shots, only take one if it is a sensitive area, or if the pain gets to be bad.
* Ice cube on the site of injection for a few minutes before injecting. This helps if it is a tender injection spot, or to numb the area, this is not necessary.
* Wipe area with alcohol prep pad.
* Push needle in at a moderate pace.
* Keep the pin straight, don’t move it around.
* ALWAYS ASPIRATE!
* Always use a new needle. I wouldn’t inject with anything larger than 22 guage (newbies remember that guages run backwards, so the higher the number of guage size, the smaller the pin, the lower the number, the pin is bigger, I use 23 guage for all my injections.)
* Disperse oil by injecting very, very slowly.
* After injection, wipe area with alcohol prep pad.
* Massage the injected area for a few minutes.
* Heat after injection, heat pack or hot shower.
* Light exercise for the area injected immediately after injection. (Biceps - 21’s & hammer curls, quads/glutes - body weight squats, delts – delt raises, calf – calf raises.)
* If you have pain later after the injection or the next day, you may want to try alternating heating and cooling. I personally find that heating right after the injection, and an ice pack much later or the nest day if you get any pain works well for me. Do not leave an ice pack on for more than 15 minutes.
* Remember the site you inject into might be little sore the next day, but don’t worry, after you get used to injecting you won’t really feel it anymore.

damn, that is some good advice.

my advice:

*do it and love it
*embrace the pain
*the pain should be nothing compared to the pain you put yourself through in the gym to achieve the goals you dream of when you decided to poke yourself.

For those trying thigh injections, I would suggest doing them sitting on the ground (bed) with your legs out flat in front of you.
Sitting in a chair with feet on the floor, I could NOT inject into the thigh, but putting the leg out straight to relax the quads works wonders. Still hurts more than gluts, but this makes it possible.

I must be the only dipshit here that injects while sitting on the throne.....

I would be another one, I do all my quad injections on the throne.

I just do thigh injections standing up.

one comment on the original post. I have a problem with people that run loaded syringes under unsterilized water to warm the oil. Even with the cap on water has a way of getting into areas that it wasn't intended to be. When your trying to be sterile this isn't a practice you want to get into IMO.

thanks for the post, i have done all that and still no help. i think its just some of the products have to much ba for me. but as it stands i am out 500 + dollars untill i try something different. i am waiting on some one to help me in another post on procedure for cooking gear to remove some ba. i have searched but havnt found my info i need yet, a link to this info if someone has it would be appriciated. that is the only other info for a less painfull inject you left out.

Someone call me on this but I read to bake it with an 18 gauge pin. Unfortunately I don't remember what temp. To all you guys injecting on the throne be careful. The goodies you leave in the toilet will be spread in small amounts up to 14 feet from just flushing your toilet. I saw this on dateline. You are always suppose to flush the can with the seat down. My point is you are asking for infection or abcess because of germs on your throne all you kings out there. Not trying to be a smarty pants but I just don't want you guys to get infections. Also its a good idea to put your toothbrush a long way from your thrones.:D

also i find if i let the alcohol dry on your skin befor you inject it does not burn as much. Another one is to make sure you keep the pin from wiggleing around in the area., Keep it steady.

MY ASS HAS BEEN KILLING ME I TRYED ALL THAT STUFF IT MUST BE THE BROVAL LIVING UP TO ITS NAME BUT HAY YOU KNOW WHAT THAY SAY NO PAIN NO GAIN SO I LIVE WITH IT BUT THE INJECT ITS SELF IS NO PROB ITS 4-6 HOURS AFTER AND THE WORST PART IS I DONT THINK MY PROP IS WORKING THE WINNY IS IN FULL EFECT BUT NO REAL GAINS SO MAYBE ITS PAIN NO GAIN LOL I WILL HAVE TO PLAN MY 2ND CYCLE BETTER

After the juice is loaded into the syringe you remove the bubbles by pushing a small amount thru the pin. A small bead appears at the tip. Let this bead run down the pin while twisting the syringe allowing the juice to lubricate the pin. Do it again with another bead. The pin is now "oiled" and slides into the injection site with less effort and pain. When the injection hurts a couple of hours afterward, it could mean there was tissue damage during the injection--moving the pin instead of holding it steady. Take a Tylenol and do better next time.
