Quad Pain

Ok bro's needing some help here....I injected eql test eth..a full cc of it into my left quad on sunday, it's now thursday and it's still swolen and red...the lump has gone away though..redness is subsiding little by little every day..however I can't bend my knee at a 90 degree angle still...when I attempt to do that..it feels like somone is pulling my quad apart....the pain has went all the way up my quad now...I used a 23 g with a 1 inch pin..as usual, what I have used in the past...but still having a huge pain in my leg, I walk barely with a limp... it's very noticable....please bro's tell me your thoughts on this and what might be going on....I have been taking like 6 bayer a day...and putting the heating pad on it...but still nothing...please help guys...

It sounds like either a severe irritation or the start of an infection. If it's hot to the touch, then you've met all three prereq's for an infection: swelling, redness, heat, and I would suggest seeking qualified medical help immediately. A couple of pretty basic blood tests will reveal if your body is fighting an infection.

Aside from this, I don't understand why you guys don't use higher quality medications from reputable pharmaceutical companies. I recently spent a week researching thimerisol, a mercury-based preservative that was prevalent in multiuse childhood immunizations pre-2000. Thankfully, the FDA finally mandated the discontinuance of using this preservative in higher amounts because of the risk of exceeding "safe" mercury blood levels in children following the CDC recommended immunization schedule.

If high profile, American pharmaceutical companies have put these questionable preservatives in childhood vaccines, God only knows what some of the Mexi-vet gear manufacturers are really putting in their products. I will never use anything but human-grade gear after reading some of the things I've read.

thanks a lot golden.........I appreciate it....It was hot..it's not as hot as it was...it used to be really warm...now it's hardly warm to touch...however the redness is now gone...in the quad...It was there until yesterday...but still very very sore....should I go and see the DR?

That's entirely your call. I can only relate my experiences...Once, an ortho thought I had developed cellulitis because a tendon injury had caused the anterior crest of my right tibia to become hot, inflamed, and quite red. However, blood tests later revealed that there was no infection developing.

IM infections can get really nasty, especially if someone has to go in and clean it out. If the infection goes septic, you die. It's that simple. My dad nearly died from a staph infection that started to spread throughout his body. Thankfully, the medical morons who probably caused it got it under control before his organs started shutting down.

I'm not saying that you guys are in for the same, just that infections INSIDE your body need to be attended to before they get out of hand. That's why the multiple layers of skin on our bodies are so important...they keep the bad stuff out. But as soon as we start penetrating the skin (e.g., IM injections), we bypass the very protection that our skin provides. This is why IM injections must not be taken lightly. This is serious stuff and if you do it carelessly, you might get yourself into trouble.

Grappler, you may not have an infection. Maybe the QV products have a bunch of crap preservatives in them. I'm not sure. Even a doctor may not be able to visually verify your condition. But a simple blood test WILL tell all. Like I posted above, an ortho incorrectly diagnosed me with cellulitis, but as soon as he read the panels, he quickly retracted that diagnosis. Even the most qualified individuals make mistakes, but they're usually able to interpret various biomarkers and correct their errors.

well bro's thanks for the support..update today..my leg is still swolen and can get a little more bend in it....no more redness just huge knot in it...very painful to stand still, however going to the doctor here in the next 2 hours...will keep everyone updated!!!

Viper bro if I were you I would go. Cause I took Goldenears advice and went to see my Dr. and yes I do have an infection.
Doc put me on 2000mg/ed of antibiotics for 10 days. but everything should be fine.

Glad to hear everything's going to work out for you. Out of curiousity, did you have to explain what may have caused the infection? Did he draw blood or just visually inspect?

Just had to take a look @ it. could see the redness, swelling and feel the heat in it.

I was totally honest about it. I thought that was best. plus my Doc. is pretty cool. don't condone but don't criticize either

Also bro you say to stay with human grade. is there a page on the web some where stating which are human and which are vet. I know QV ,Tt, Brovil ect. are vet but there is a lot of diff. gear out there and some I know but most I don't..
And NO, I'm NOT asking for a source just info!!!

generally, the euro stuff is all human grade, while the mexi stuff is vet; although there is human grade in Mexico, like Schering Primobolan (50mg/ml), Stenox, Sten, etc.

In time, you'll get more familiar with the various manufacturers after chatting with other members and sources. I remember seeing a list kinda like what you're asking for...I think mesomorphosis.com may have something listing the various compounds and their preparations.

If you want additional info, just ask.

i have talked with a few good euro sorces and will go back to them again. this was first time going domestic but i see some domestics cary quality gear also.

OK update for all of you bro's...it is in infection in the quad...he gave me Cephelex(spell check) at 500mg a pill, and I have to take 3 a day for the next 10 days..and gave me an anti-inflamatory pills 2 a day for the next 5 days...however thanks for all of your help...hoping to get to feeling better soon...Really don't know what to do with the eql test 400 now!!

I meant not being able to use it? Kind of scared now..don't want/need another infection....

viper, i baked my eql prop/fina mix 3x at 250 and i will post tomorrow on pain level. if that dont work i just received conversion kit and i will rob a little oil and dilute it. and if that dont work my human grade will be in about 10 days.
