I've been wrestling between using Test Prop and D-bol to start my next cycle (cycle #2). I will be using QV EQ (500 mg/wk) 1-12, and QV Test Enan (625 mg/wk) 1-12. Then I began thinking, hell, is it even that imperative to use something to kick-start the cycle? If I use either the Prop or the D-bol, will the keepable gains be that much better if I were to not use either one at all?

(My first cycle was QV Test Enan (500 mg/wk) 1-10 and QV Deca (300 mg/wk) 1-9; I was very happy with the results)

I won't do a cycle again unless I have something to kick start the gains, I am currently on a cycle of test cyp, eq, fina, winny. And it seemed like forever for the test & eq to kick in.

I think you will be happier with something to kick start it.

Well this is how its suppose to work. What ever gains you get from dbol or prop the test e and eq will help you keep them, not all mind you. Some people may gain an extra 5lbs from dbol or prop some just get strong. One thing I can tell you is that if your prop is good (Qv) you will never wanna start a cycle without it again. I don't like waiting 4-5 weeks for my gear to kick in. I used prop to jump start my cycle and gained a total of 18lbs.

"Keepable gains"...there's always so much talk on the 'net about keeping one's gains. Well, I never want to keep all of my gains because the majority of the gains made in the first few weeks of any cycle are just water related anyway, regardless of the ancillaries taken.

I started a thread yesterday and said how I'm up 18 pounds just 3 weeks into a dbol/propio cycle (very low dosages as well). But I realize that it's mostly water weight even though I don't look like a doughboy, just full.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if we all gained 20 pounds of LBM during every cycle, everyone of us could go pro in a couple of years. Sorry, just isn't going to happen mainly because we're not gaining 20 pounds of LBM on every cycle. I'd be ecstatic if I gained 3-5 pounds of LBM from each cycle, but even that may be pushing it.

That's my rant...back to Sndm6's question. If you don't like waiting for your blood levels to peak out, then starting off with a fast-acting injectible or any oral makes sense. It makes sense to me because it's more productive in terms of training, recovery, metabolism, etc. The problem I have with this mindset, though, is it seems that a lot of people have pigeon-holed certain drugs like dbol, test prop, etc. instead of fully evaluating their true worth and the unique possibilities each provides. For example, to say dbol is only good for one thing...a 3-4 week kickstart ignores other possible uses in which the drug may excel.

This isn't a slam against anyone, just a suggestion to try different things instead of using the same old cookie cutter cycle year after year. Report your results and let's all learn from each other's experiments. That's what these discussions are for anyway, right?

Gotta go train...
