Only one way to figure maintenance calories. If you are not currently cutting/bulking write down everything you eat for 3-7 days. Figure the average. It varies by person and even within a person it varies. When you are coming off a cutter, your whole metabolism is lowered. Thus your maintenance calories are lower than when you first started the cut. That is why you need to lower calories more and more the longer the cutter goes on in order to continue to lose weight. Do just the opposite for bulking.
This is important when going from bulk to cut (most people tend to drop calories too fast) and from cut to bulk (again most people add in too many).
