I think you need more solid food. This is a problem I am dealing with right now. I eat 8-9 times a day. I have been doing 3 solid meals and all my bro's tell me to eat more real food. So i am trying to do 4 solid meals and 4-5 shakes. I would also recommend a pro shake after workout with some carbs for fast recovery, then eat the solid meal later.

What's a "sug"?

It would also be helpful if you'd tally up the protein, carbs, fat and total calories for the day.

I don't see any good fat in there at all.

Just in general I don't like this kind of diet for cutting- period. I'm with Animal (credit where credit is due) and a few others who believe in getting nearly all your carbs in the 2 meals post-workout. This means your slin levels will be low for the majority of the day. You can't burn stored bodyfat while slin is raised. Calories in vs. calories out is great when it comes to weight loss, however fat loss and muscle preservation is a different ball game all together.

sug is sugar I watch sugar more than anything else. Hard to find a protien shake you want to eat with no sugar in it. The only good fats I get are from the little fish I eat and CLA supps which I take. I will do a tally on total cals soon and let you know. One question-if someone works out late should I still avoid evening carbs ? or should I tone it down?

I workout late and when cutting I just make sure I get a moderate dose (70) following the workout. Then about an 1 to 1 1/2 hours later a lite dose (30). Just remember your goal when cutting is to preserve muscle- not to build it. All that takes is getting sufficent carb intake after workouts. (Your carb intake will vary based on age, carb-sensitivity, weight, etc.)

Suggestion for good fats- get a jug of extra-virgin (umm... extra virgin) olive oil. Dump a tablespoon or so into a protein shake for an extra yummy (I'm kidding of course) non-slin spiking meal.

Try and stick to leaner meats. Tuna, chicken Turkey etc. Avoid breads and pastas. Green veggies are great along with rice aswell.

if you goal is leaning out suggest more solid meals! odds are you body is only utilizing about 60% of the whey you taking in! the rest doesnt digest well!

I would recomend only two drinks1 and eat a different carb than soup at lunch!
