I'm relatively new to the iron game. I've been training for a year now and thinking of trying some anabolics. I see so much bombardment on different products, on what to take and what not to take. Can someone help me in deciding on what to use for my first cycle, and what products or labels to stay away from, Thanks.

your first cycle should be held off awhile i would say, you just start hitting the weights a year ago. Take some time and do alot of research and decide for yourself what you want to take when the time comes, and gluck with the training

you need more years of training and eating proper under your belt.
Do not rush into this, get to know your body and grow naturally.
Even when you hit plateaus just try to find other ways to get through them

look at MacGyver's pics in the members section and u'll see that juicing alone does not equate to massive size. You need to train and get as far as u can naturally before even thinking abot juicing.

1 yr is not nearly enough training to even consider juicing.. I've been training for 5 yrs now and I am still making gains naturally.

Keep trying, be patient and u'll get what you want

Can you give us some details on your current stats, goals, training and diet?

Also, why are you considering trying AAS (have you stalled, or just wanting to make quicker gains... or some other reason)? They are definitely a big step, and not something you should enter into lightly. And, if your training and diet aren't up to par, you'd be disappointed in the results anyway.

BTW, welcome to MC! Post those details and your goals, and we'll be more than happy to help you come up with a plan!

Thanks weird al, my goal is to get big. Right now i'm 5'8 195lbs. i'm in my mid twenties. I want to go on AAS to get that extra edge needed to compete. I'm thinking of doing a show and want to be the best that I can be. I know AAS is not the mystery drug that will make me achieve a prize winning form, but it will help. Training and diet I believe is 95% juice is the other 5%. So tell me what products to look out for and what products to stay away from. I've heard so much shit that it is confusing!

u've only been training for a yr and you feel as though your ready for some juice?

are u at a plateau?

what's your bf?

with only 1 yr of weight training under your belt, I can say with 100% confidence that you can still gain naturally... try to go as far as u can naturally bro before hitting the big J

It takes a lot of research, I suggest you read some of the drug profiles up above. Also a good reference book like anabolics 2002 would be a great benifit. With only a year training have you hit a plateau? You should easily be able to make natural gains still. Like you said it is not a mystery drug, it takes a lot of other factors. Get familiar with some of the drugs, diets, ancillieries, and post cycle therapy, check out the artilces of the week in the articles forum. There is a wealth of information on this board, with some highly intellegent people who would certainly answer any questions you have.

1000% agree you'll learn more and retain it better if you search and study for your answeres then hit the board up with specific questions about gear, cycles and opinions.

Test is always a good base to a begining cycle.

But yeah, train/diet/research first, then get into the juice.

What's your bf%?

Everyone's has given good advise about waiting, but since you'va already had "the talk" ,when you are ready this would be a good 1st cycle IMO:

Organon brand DecaDurabolin 200mg
Upjohn brand Test Cyp 200-250mg
Mix and inject 2x a week for 10 weeks
Femara 2.5mg every day until done with Clomid
Wait 2 weeks then start clomid

That'd be my choice of brands/products for a 1st cycle

people have told me that upjohn no longer manufactures AAS I've heard so many designer names in and around the gym, one person stands by this product and another person by another its confusing. All i want is to have that little extra edge in the gym thats all.

Little extra edge in the gym? That's not a good reason to start using AAS. You should use if you've tried everything naturally and still can't continue to make gains. You need to learn a lot more about AAS before you start. I will guarantee that you'll wish that you didn't start so soon in the end...Without proper knowledge you can really screw yourself up.

BUT...If you have already made up your mind on using you should stick around here for the next few months and plan your cycle. Don't just jump into it, because you only get one first cycle. If you don't have your diet and training 100% in check you will be very disappointed in the results. Trust me!

Note:
Steroids are not magic. They are a very small tool that help you gain muscle faster than being "natural" (for me about 2x as fast...but depends on the person, diet, etc.). Even with the steroids I bust my ass every day in the gym. I lift heavy and the weight still feels heavy and I don't grow at super sonic speeds like people think. There are pros and cons of being "on". Cons - You have to worry about so many things such as correct injections(making sure you don't inject into veins. I usually hit a few every cycle, and if I forget to aspirate I could be dead), watching out for infections - which is quite likely if not done correctly, watching blood pressure and heart rate, painful injections, and nasty side effects such as Gyno, hair loss, and bad acne...among other things with far worse consequences such as enlarged heart, or heart attacks.

Guys really need to look at the big picture and make sure that they are willing to accept these risks. These risks can be kept to a minimum with proper monitoring, procedures, diet, and supplimentation. I read on other boards from time to time idiots doing 10-12 week cycles of dbol at 75mg per day...other using the same needle for the whole cycle(non-resusable needles), never aspirating(or knowing what that word means.), and other foolish things that could potentially screw people up bad, because instead of doing research...they would rather just "get big". These people give steroids a bad name, they are the ones you see on talk shows telling america how steroids fucked up their lives and nearly killed them...Sorry for the rant, but I just want people to think about what they are doing, the reasons behind it, and what they are doing to monitor and control their health while using AAS.

BTW...This is not a flame towards you Shadow. Just want you to think about the big picture.

biggerstronger makes allot of sense what you say and I agree totally, I used to believe that I could not gain any muscle wieght and juice was the only way for someone like me to make gains but my diet sucked, not enough protien not enough carbs still got tons to learn but I'm on the right track now just by posting and reading what you guys got to say I'm not even sure I will do a cycle now to be honest, just depends on how far I make it naturally might take it to the next step might not but I do know its not something to just jump into with out allot of research
