injection technique

I want to know if anyone does this. I take my fina shots eod. It's a ml at a time. Well I get pissed because I load up a ml and seem to lose .25 of it in the needle after I'm finished injecting.

Does anyone load up like .25 ml of sterile oil and then the ml of fina? this way you can actually inject a whole ml of the fina and the little amount that's left in the needle is just plain oil. And even if you get a little in you it doesn't matter.

ah, even more interesting. But you'd be obviously loading more that .25ml that will probably get held back in the needle.

I think basskiller posted several months ago that .1 ml was waisted (lost in the pin) on every injection... But I wouldn't be as concerned with drawing a little extra b12, and leaving a little of that in the pin, compared with the gear. I also draw a little air at the end (.1 to .2 cc), and try and push all the oil out as well (always aspirate!).

with the two shots of fina I did this week, it looked like I lost more than just .1 ml. I was so pissed, I tried pushing on the plunger so hard to get the rest. I would say I was unable to get about .2 ml's. Next time I'm going to load .25ml sterile oil first and then the fina.

Gymrat,won't the 2 oils just mix together when you load'em? Why not just load 1.1 mls of the good stuff?

shit, you're right Deca. Because that sterile oil is what was used to make the fina, the have the same density and will have an affinity to mix. I will just load more of the fina. Or maybe try the B12 trick. If two different types of oils are used they don't mix easily unless you shake the syringe. Sort of like if you loaded cyp and eq in the same syringe.

Sorry to but in bros, but Deca is right. Mixing the fina with another oil will just allow the two to become homogenous mixture and will only increase the volume of the solution. You will still be left with lost fina. You could try using a less dense/viscous substance, like said, possibly b-12 which may float to the top when you have the needle straight up and down. You could do a thigh inject pretty easily with the needle straight up. I haven't tried it, but it does sound feasable. Also, if you have access to tuberculin syringes or even insulin syringes (you can do great sight injects, if body fat is low enough) which will allow for almost no loss. There is also the new medsaver syringe:

which eliminates waste. Not available at this site yet, but soon. I am sure you could find them elsewhere. Kinda pricy, but to some may be worth it.
Also, some have tried leaving air in the syringe (again this only works if the needle is straight up and down) and injecting until the air pushes out the last drop. Be careful not to inject too much air though. A little is perfectly fine though. Just be sure to aspirate.

hell yeah. I get irritated when I pull out the syringe and look to see how much was left in the needle. Pisses me off.

What I do...(1.5 mls)

I just pull out 1.5 (maybe a hair more) then pull it out of the bottle. I pull a little air in, then when I switch needles, the loss is minimal.

There is some lost oil in every injection, but I believe the syringes account for that in the measurement gradeints. They're made to administer an accurate amount of medicine or whatever. So at least the dose is accurate (I believe) just that you lose a little.

i like to stab myself like i'm tring to kill a wild animal.. with a 16g 2inch 6ml dart.. and i hit myself about 15-20time in the same spot them push as hard as i can on the plunger.. works every time..

what you guys are taking about is the air lock injection.. put .25ml of air into the jacket and push it up until you see it in the end of the jacket and first part of the needle..
