Any experienced chemist, in your opinion what is the best chemical book out there. I would like to read up on solubility of certain powders in different chemicals. Here are a few I ran into.

Hawley's Condensed Chemical Dictionary (14th Edition

Merck Index: An Encyclopedia of Chemicals, Drugs, & Biologicals

Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook

Chemistry and Chemical Reactivity
by Jack C. Kotz, et al (Hardcover)

Quantitative Chemical Analysis
by Daniel C. Harris, Hopkins Harris

I agree, you gotta go with Merck's; its pricey but you can get an older edition for pretty cheap on half.com that should have everything you're looking for.
