I rotate those same shocking techniques into my routing too.  When I'm on, I feel like I can do any shocking technique on practically every set and not worry about overtraining...but, at some point that won't hold true for sure.  Just this past week, I started to feel like I was really beat-up...got a case of the flu and felt really worn out.  After 12 weeks of training heavy and hard, I guess I'm ready for a quick break of either a few less days/week or just some lighter weights for a week or two.  Even on, it's still possible to overtrain.

Obviously for everyone, it different. It is possible to overtrain while on, but if you are only training every bodypart once per week, it isn't very likely unless you are in the gym for 4 or 5 hours ED hammering each muscle. I take a couple weeks every 3 months, and slow down, use lower weights, more reps and never go to failure, just to allow my body to fully recover. On the average it takes most muscle 16-18 days to fully recover from strenuous training. There are a lot of factors that will alter that figure though. Suppliments, diet, AAS and other drugs, etc...
