anyone ever used this or know anything about it?  Can it be used like insulin to help bulk up or retain muscle?  I haven't been able to find much about it related to bodybuilding.

Thanks,,,bigjosh

It works by enhancing  insulin receptor sensetivity. Main draw back IMO is it can be harsh on the liver. It can aslo trigger lactic acidosis. I've never used it,after researching it I didn't feel the risk-benifit ratio was favorable enough.

I will be using the 850mg metformin in this up coming cycle in place of insulin.

Metformin (glucophage) is what non-insulin dependant diebetics use. I have never used it though, so I won't give any advice how to. I am sure some people have, and will be able to tell you more. later

I've used it a few times, with great results!
In addition to incresing insulin sensitivity, it "shuttles" carbs into the muscles.
The chans of getting lactos acidosis is minimal.

i have only seen the 850mg ones.  Just treat it like an oral insulin.  Most guys just take 850mg a day.  If it were me, I would use real insulin.  Injections are ALWAYS better than oral anything.
