..aerobic at nite?

would it be benificial to do areobics before going to bed.. lets say half an hour prior to bedtime?

i think that depends what you are trying to achive. if your goal is weight loss, sure it will help.  If im shreading i like to do cardio in the am on an empty stomach, that works good for me. if your goal is weight gain, drink pancake batter before bed...lol j/k don't do that. what's your goal?
 
Well I have done am and pm cardio. For me am works better. I might throw in some pm cardio after a workout to top things off but no more than 20 min.
 
AM cardio works better for everyone because in the AM your body is in a fasted state from sleeping. As long as you don't eat anything before AM cardio you begin to burn stored fat immeadiately. As for PM cardio..you will want to watch your diet pretty closely. Doing cardio twice a day is ok if your protein is high enough...cardio can cause your body to go into a catabolic state. If you are on something (AAS) you should be ok...but if you are trying to build lean muscle and lose weight at the same time naturally ,it is very difficult to not lose some amount of muscle when shedding fat.
 
yeah that's what im afraid of.  i've been on my weight training/weight gaining program for 4 weeks now... and well i've been skipping my morning aerobics because i don't want to burn muscle... well it could totally be a misunderstanding on my part too.  anyway, i just want to not gain too much fat (especially in the mid section heheh..
maybe aerobics 3 times a week in the am should do?  (on empty stomach of course)

oh yeah im not doing AAS yet...

I find that when the Wife and I have a good horizontal aerobic session I sleep better.
Perhaps you guys are performing the wrong workout?
 
LOL, CC where have you been lately?  

If you do aerobics before bed, you'll probably end up with a sleeping disorder.  That's the time to wind down.  If you are on cycle, then I definitely wouldn't recommend it...hard enough to sleep while on as it is.
 
I think aerobics at night is much better. In the a.m., first of all, i get extremely nausuas if I do cardio and there's nothing in my stomach. So then if I eat something as I wake up and do cardio like running, I'll easily get a stmoach ache. My gym, for instance, is open till 11:30 at night. So, generally, I'll eat dinner at like 6:30 or 7:00, and workout from maybe 9:30 to 11:30. I have the energy because there's food in my stmoach, therefore, I am able to workout at a greater intensity. Also, nothing feels better than being able t0o lie down and go to sleep after a hard workout.
