I am very open with my doctor and tell him everything I do.  (he still will not give me a script for AS LOL)  I talked to him yesterday about B-12.  I told him I was taking B-12 from the feed store at 1000mcg EOD.  He knows that I am trying to gain weight and keep it on.  He said to stop the B-12 because it will only make me loose weight.  This is what he explained.  B-12 speeds up the metabolism.  I take B-12 to make me hungry which it does, but he said it is not enough to make up for how much it will speed up my metabolism.  For example I might burn 1000 calories each day from the B-12 and only eat 800 extra calories from the hunger.  He said if your body uses B-12 correct than there is no need for it unless I want to diet.
What do you think.   Is he right.

There is a limit as to the amt of B12 that you can utilize,no need to shoot EOD when you can absorb it from your stomach just as easily IMO. The question you have about the metabolic value of B12 ....I'm not sure there is a clear yes/no on that but I'd quit with all those sticks bro ;)

Ya.  I am getting sick of the needle.  When I started my cycle I looked forward to my next shot.  Now that I am off and still getting shots it gets old.

That may be true.  But, as far as getting the same absorption in the stomach in comparison to injection well...that is false.  You need intrinsic factor to properly absorb b12, in the intestines.  So, by taking it sublingualy or via injection you bypass this process and thus have quicker absorption.  All the b vitamins function to regulate the nervous system.  So in theory what your doc says can be true...but theories are only that.  For some b12 works great for increasing appetite and gaining.

I don't understand what the problem is with speeding up your metabolism anyway.  You are trying to put on muscle, not fat...right?  If you can eat more, and speed up your metabolism, that is pretty much the whole idea behind BBing, isn't it?  Maybe I am way off base, but it seems to me, your Dr is talking out his ass.  I would continue with it, and see how it works, and make your own decision on what you think after a month or two.  Later
