i had summer cycle planned, 400-500mg of Test, with 200-300mg of Deca, going over a period of 8-10wks. But the more i read, the more i find that the older veterans are shying younger guys away from starting a cycle so early.....i am confused, and do not know if i should wait or not.

6'4"
230lbs
9-10%BF
been lifting for a solid 5 years

thanks in advance

The concern with adolescents juicing is the effects on linear bone growth. Males reach maturity aka post puberty stage at 24 but if your 6'4 - 6'5", I'd say your bout done sproutin bro. Sounds like youve put some thought into it....it's a judgement call on your behalf now......just gunny's .02.

im also 20yrs old and put a lot of thought into it myself...I have been consistant in training for about 6yrs, i know that doesnt seem long but ive learned a lot and have decided to start using a.s just a couple months ago...i asked my doctor many times and i alwayz get the same answer, "you should stay natural b/c at your age u have enough testosterone to get big naturally" Also said im also pretty much done growing at 6'1... I thought to myself i can either get results slowly and wut your body limits u to or achieve what u want a little quicker...I mean its up to u bro... <.

Hello mate.
The shoulder bones are almost always the last to stop growing in males. So if you already have broad shoulders then you are probably fine to start gear. If your shoulders are still narrow then you should hold off for a couple of years bro. I'm 22 and did my first cycle earlier this year (been training since I was 14). I think 22 is a good age to start, but everyone is different......

hey bro,

In my opinon unless you are trying to be a proffessional athlete of some sort I would wait. At 20 you can still put on a significant amount of weight naturally. This will help out in the long run. If your inpateint though it is a personal decision. I waited until I was 27 and am grateful. Put on 40 pds of muscle naturally in 6 yrs training and put on 22 since began using AS. Now at 5'4 190 pds with 8% BF. Good Luck.

Good advice from the bro's above about the physical aspects of juicing at a young age. Gynojuicer's Doctor advice is very good and simple. Pretty cool you have a doc that is up on BB.

The one thing that nobody has mentioned is the mental aspect of juicing. It is a responsibility not to be treated lightly. In my opinion most 20 somethings do not have the emotional maturity to juice. This is not a bad thing, just a truism.

Ultimately the descision is yours. My advice is to wait until you have exhausted your natural genetics and gained some more life experiences. There really is no major hurry.

Great input from everyone! Thought I'd add one more piece on to the emotional aspect 45-20 just brought up... When/if you go on, it WILL change you forever. Chances are, you'll end up using AAS for a long time to come, or until some significant emotional event MAKES you stop. It's not just YOU that you need to think about, it's anyone close to you...parents, friends, other family, girlfriends... It becomes part of who you are and there is no hiding it indefinitely from those that live with you. So, think about that too when you make the decision.

I started at same age but who am I to do as I say! I am probably a bad example of what not to follow, but I think if you have done alot of your growing 20 is a ok age to start! 20 seems to be that breaking point on wether to do it or not!
