newbie here certification???

What do you people think of the NFPT for personal trianer certification.

I don't know a lot about the NFPT certs.  It seems to me someone on here was getting one a while back, but I can't remember who it was.  Do they have a website?.  If they do, i would like to see it, so can you give me their addy, thanks.  Later

I checked it out and it looks like its pretty well set up.  Have you checked out the ISSA?  They offer a lot more programs and you do not have to pay a membership fee to stay certified, but you do have to continue with you education and take a different cert package every couple years, and I would rather pay for more education, than just pay to keep my cert.  After you add in all the extra costs of the NFPT, the ISSA isn't that much more expensive.  I think their addy is www.issaonline.com

ISSA is a more credible cert, plus you will get more knowledge that you can apply. That's just my opinion tho ...

Thanks guys but NFPT sends you a magazine every month and you take a test every six months.
